ABOUT FTAI AVIATION LTD. (NASDAQ: FTAI)
FTAI owns and maintains commercial jet engines with a focus on CFM56 and V2500 engines. FTAI’s propriety portfolio of products, including the Module Factory and a joint venture to manufacture engine PMA, enables it to provide cost savings and flexibility to our airline, lessor, and maintenance, repair, and operations customer base. Additionally, FTAI owns and leases jet aircraft which often facilitates the acquisition of engines at attractive prices. FTAI invests in aviation assets and aerospace products that generate strong and stable cash flows with the potential for earnings growth and asset appreciation.
FTAI operates globally and has offices in New York, Miami, Montréal, Singapore, Dubai, United Kingdom and Ireland.
ABOUT FTAI POWER
FTAI Power is a new and rapidly growing platform within FTAI Aviation dedicated to converting CFM56 jet engines — the most widely produced commercial aircraft engine in history — into 25-megawatt aeroderivative gas turbines engineered to deliver reliable, flexible, and rapidly deployable power to data centers and AI hyperscalers worldwide. Launched in December 2025, FTAI Power was built in direct response to the unprecedented surge in electricity demand driven by artificial intelligence infrastructure. As AI hyperscalers and cloud operators face multi-year backlogs to secure traditional grid connections, FTAI Power offers an immediately scalable alternative: a modular, 25-MW turbine that can be deployed quickly, operated flexibly, and maintained using the same world-class MRO infrastructure FTAI has built over decades in commercial aviation. The CFM56 — with over 34,000 engines delivered globally — is the ideal candidate for aeroderivative conversion. FTAI Power remanufactures the proven CFM56 core and adapts it with aeroderivative components using a proprietary conversion architecture developed over more than a year of engineering. The result is a compact, high-reliability gas turbine that gives grid operators and data.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Author, edit, and maintain detailed step-by-step assembly work instructions (AWIs), shop travelers, process sheets, and illustrated assembly guides for jet engine components and modules.
- Develop documentation from the ground up for new product introductions and new programs, partnering with engineering and production teams during process development.
- Create clear technical illustrations, assembly drawings, callouts, and exploded-view diagrams using graphics software and CAD models to support written instructions.
- Translate complex engineering data (drawings, specifications, BOMs, engineering orders) into accurate, easily understood procedural content for technician audiences.
- Coordinate with manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, and assembly technicians to validate document accuracy and incorporate feedback from production trials.
- Ensure all documentation conforms to applicable standards.
- Manage document lifecycle through the engineering change and document control process, maintaining version control and audit trails in the DMS/PLM system.
- Support first article inspections and production readiness reviews by providing complete, reviewed documentation packages.
- Identify and implement improvements to documentation templates, formats, and authoring workflows to increase efficiency and consistency.
- Conduct periodic reviews of existing documentation to ensure alignment with current processes, engineering changes, and lessons learned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 7 years of technical writing experience, with at least 5 years specifically creating assembly work instructions or maintenance manuals for aerospace or jet engine products.
- Proven experience developing documentation from the ground up for new programs or production startups.
- Strong understanding of jet engine architecture, modules, and assembly processes; ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
- Proficiency in technical authoring and illustration tools: Adobe FrameMaker, Arbortext, Adobe Illustrator, Creo Illustrate, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with document management and PLM systems (e.g., Windchill, Teamcenter, Arena, or similar).

Which aerospace and defense companies sponsor TN visas in Florida?
Florida's defense and aerospace employers with a track record of international hiring include Lockheed Martin, Boeing, L3Harris Technologies, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, and Leidos. Many are concentrated along the Space Coast and in the Orlando metro. TN visa sponsorship availability varies by role, clearance requirements, and hiring cycles, so checking current job postings directly is the most reliable approach.
Which cities in Florida have the most aerospace and defense TN sponsorship jobs?
Melbourne and the broader Brevard County Space Coast region host the highest concentration of aerospace and defense employers in Florida, driven by Kennedy Space Center proximity and major contractor offices. Orlando is a secondary hub with strong defense simulation and systems integration activity. Titusville, Palm Bay, and Huntsville-adjacent firms with Florida satellite offices also post relevant openings regularly.
What types of aerospace and defense roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN visa eligibility requires the role to fall within a USMCA-listed occupation category. In aerospace and defense, roles that commonly align include aerospace engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, systems engineers, and computer engineers. The position must require at least a relevant bachelor's degree, and the job duties must match the occupation category. Roles requiring active U.S. security clearances may limit TN eligibility for foreign nationals.
How do I find aerospace and defense TN sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for TN visa holders and candidates, making it straightforward to filter aerospace and defense jobs in Florida that include TN sponsorship. Rather than manually reviewing hundreds of postings to identify sponsorship willingness, Migrate Mate surfaces relevant Florida aerospace roles already tagged for TN eligibility, saving significant time during a job search.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in aerospace and defense?
Florida's defense sector often involves government contract work tied to federal agencies like NASA, the Department of Defense, and Space Force. Many of these roles require U.S. security clearances, which are generally not accessible to TN visa holders who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Candidates should focus on commercial aerospace, satellite communications, and software-intensive roles, where clearance is less commonly required and TN sponsorship is more feasible.
