Which aerospace and defense companies sponsor TN visas in Pennsylvania?
Several major defense contractors and aerospace firms operate in Pennsylvania and have a history of sponsoring work visas for qualified foreign nationals. Lockheed Martin, Sikorsky (a Lockheed subsidiary), L3Harris, Raytheon Technologies, and Boeing have significant Pennsylvania operations. Smaller defense subcontractors and systems integrators in the Philadelphia suburbs and Pittsburgh area also hire TN-eligible professionals in engineering and technical roles, though sponsorship practices vary by position and business need.
Which cities in Pennsylvania have the most aerospace and defense TN sponsorship jobs?
The greatest concentration of aerospace and defense TN sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania is in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, particularly the western suburbs including King of Prussia, Malvern, and Wayne, where major defense primes have campuses. Pittsburgh is a secondary hub, with activity in defense electronics, robotics, and advanced manufacturing. Coatesville, York, and the Lehigh Valley also have aerospace manufacturing and MRO operations that hire in TN-qualifying roles.
What types of aerospace and defense roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN visa eligibility in aerospace and defense is tied to specific USMCA professional categories. Roles that commonly qualify include aerospace engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, systems engineers, computer engineers, industrial engineers, and scientists such as physicists or chemists. The position must require a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field. Program management, contracts, and general business roles typically do not qualify unless they meet a specific listed engineering or science category.
How do I find aerospace and defense TN sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for professionals who need visa sponsorship, including TN visa holders. You can filter by visa type, state, and industry to find aerospace and defense TN sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania specifically. This is more efficient than searching general job boards where sponsorship availability is rarely disclosed upfront. Migrate Mate lists roles from employers who have indicated sponsorship willingness, helping you focus your applications on realistic opportunities.
Are there any Pennsylvania-specific or aerospace industry considerations for TN sponsorship?
Pennsylvania's defense sector involves significant federal contracting work, which adds a layer of consideration for TN visa holders: many roles require U.S. security clearances, and only U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible for most clearance levels. This effectively limits TN visa holders to unclassified or commercial aerospace work. Candidates should confirm clearance requirements before applying, as security clearance eligibility is one of the most common barriers to TN employment in Pennsylvania's defense industry.
