About Treeswift:
In the face of rising threats, increasing pressure on affordability, and unprecedented demand for power, Treeswift empowers energy companies to modernize their field work to meet the growth and challenges ahead.
We build physical AI for the field worker: whether on foot or in a vehicle, our technology is an ironman suit for engineers, linemen, and vegetation crews: same worker, same boots on the ground, now operating at 10x productivity. Our platform is powered by cutting edge hardware, sensors (LiDAR, camera, etc…), AI and software designed to revolutionize work in the toughest environments.
Since our first pilot with a utility in June 2024, we've grown fast, now working with three of the five largest utilities in the US. To date, our technology has enabled our customers to reduce wildfire risk, regulatory and outage risk from vegetation, avoid delays and cost overruns in new construction, and accelerate recovery from severe storms.
To tackle this challenge, we are bringing together a team of mission-driven experts with deep industry experience in robotics (Penn, Caltech, CMU) and enterprise software development (Palantir, Stripe, Oracle, MongoDB). We have raised funding from leading investors including Penny Pritzker’s Inspired Capital.
We are headquartered in midtown Manhattan, with additional offices in San Francisco and Philadelphia.
Our growth is only accelerating. We’re looking for deeply curious and highly ambitious people who want to have a real world impact. Come build the future of (field) work with us.
About the role
As a senior robotics engineer you will drive outcomes across perception, mapping, sensor fusion and calibration that directly contribute to the expansion of our business. As our business grows these needs will change; first priorities for this role will include:
- Improving the quality and consistency of our product in an increasing breadth of operating conditions. For example, you will lead SLAM development including incorporating new sensor evolutions and exploring innovative approaches to improving performance in GPS degraded environments.
- Accelerating our time to delivery by leveling up our sensor fusion and calibration. This includes fusing multi-user, multi-session point cloud maps and automating alignment of LiDAR and imagery data to produce consistent large-scale scenes.
- Power scalability and reliability by eliminating the need for extrinsic measurements on our vehicle sensors in the field and improving our ability to catch and correct potential data quality issues at their source.
Experience / Skills
- 5-10 years of experience in perception for robotics
- Comfortable in a fast-pace and high-ownership environment. You’re excited to collaborate, but also comfortable developing your own opinions.
- Proficient in C++ and Python
- Extensive experience developing SLAM solutions, ideally involving ground-based LiDAR
- Experience with extrinsic and intrinsic sensor calibration, including automated data-driven calibration
- Prior experience with ultra-wide angle cameras is a nice-to-have
What We Value
- Mission first. We value team members who are focused on working towards the best outcomes for the customer and the business.
- Curiosity. We are constantly learning – from each other and from our customers. We aren’t afraid to learn we were wrong in the process and adapt our approach accordingly.
- Owners mindset. If you see an opportunity for improvement, run with it. We believe that good ideas can come from anywhere, no matter your role.
Benefits
- Comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance
- Life insurance package and disability coverage
- Stock options
- Paid leave for new parents
- Unlimited PTO
- 401K
Salary
The estimated salary range for this position is 160-210 USD. Total compensation for this position is determined by skills, qualifications, relevant work experience, location, and other factors. This salary estimate excludes the value of any potential bonuses; the value of any benefits offered; and the potential future value of any long-term incentives.

Tips for Finding TN Sponsorship Jobs in Pennsylvania
Target Philadelphia's life sciences cluster
The Philadelphia metro hosts major pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, and hospital networks with established TN sponsorship experience. Scientists, pharmacists, and clinical researchers find particularly strong demand here compared to other Pennsylvania metros.
Research Pittsburgh's technology and engineering employers
Pittsburgh's growing tech sector and legacy engineering industry create consistent TN openings for computer systems analysts, engineers, and management consultants. Companies in robotics, autonomous vehicles, and advanced manufacturing regularly hire through TN sponsorship.
Prioritize employers with TN sponsorship history
Not every Pennsylvania employer understands the TN process. Searching Migrate Mate filters specifically for verified TN sponsors, saving you from applying to companies unfamiliar with the visa category and unlikely to move forward.
Leverage Pennsylvania's major university and hospital systems
Penn Medicine, UPMC, Temple Health, and Pennsylvania's research universities are experienced TN sponsors. Academic and clinical roles in research, engineering, and healthcare at these institutions often come with dedicated HR immigration support.
Align your job title precisely with TN-eligible categories
Pennsylvania employers in engineering and IT sometimes post broad job titles that don't map cleanly to TN-approved professions. Review your target role against the USMCA professional categories list before applying to confirm your credentials qualify.
Use industry-specific job searches alongside Migrate Mate
Pennsylvania's TN market is concentrated in specific sectors. Searching by industry on Migrate Mate alongside filtering by state helps surface relevant openings faster than browsing general job boards that lack visa sponsorship filters.

Which industries in Pennsylvania sponsor the most TN visas?
Healthcare, life sciences, engineering, and information technology account for the largest share of TN visa sponsorship activity in Pennsylvania. The Philadelphia region is particularly strong for pharmaceutical and biotech roles, while Pittsburgh drives demand in engineering and computer systems. Management consulting and finance roles also generate consistent TN sponsorship across both metros.
Which cities in Pennsylvania have the most TN sponsorship jobs?
Philadelphia and Pittsburgh are Pennsylvania's two dominant TN job markets. Philadelphia draws sponsoring employers in life sciences, financial services, and healthcare, anchored by its large hospital networks and pharmaceutical industry presence. Pittsburgh's tech and engineering sectors have expanded significantly, making it an increasingly active market. Smaller metros like Allentown and Harrisburg have more limited but real TN opportunities in healthcare and engineering.
What types of roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship in Pennsylvania?
Roles qualifying for TN sponsorship in Pennsylvania generally fall into the USMCA professional categories, including engineers (civil, electrical, mechanical, chemical), computer systems analysts, scientists (chemists, biologists, pharmacists), accountants, and management consultants. Pennsylvania's employer base makes engineering and scientific roles especially common. The position must require, and you must hold, a qualifying bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
How do I find TN sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, letting you filter by TN visa type and Pennsylvania location to surface employers already open to TN sponsorship. This is more efficient than general job boards, where most listings don't indicate visa sponsorship willingness. Combining Migrate Mate with direct outreach to large Pennsylvania employers in healthcare, engineering, and technology produces the strongest results.
Are there any Pennsylvania-specific considerations for TN sponsorship?
Pennsylvania does not impose state-level visa or work authorization requirements beyond federal rules. However, certain licensed professions, including registered nurses, engineers seeking Professional Engineer licensure, and accountants, must meet Pennsylvania state licensing board requirements independently of TN status. Securing state licensure before or shortly after arrival strengthens your position with Pennsylvania employers in those fields.
