Which construction companies sponsor TN visas in Pennsylvania?
Large general contractors and engineering firms operating in Pennsylvania, including Turner Construction, Skanska, AECOM, Jacobs Engineering, and WSP, have histories of sponsoring TN visas for qualified professionals. Regional firms working on Pennsylvania's infrastructure and commercial development projects also sponsor TN workers, though sponsorship practices vary by company, project pipeline, and the specific role being filled.
Which cities in Pennsylvania have the most construction TN sponsorship jobs?
Philadelphia and Pittsburgh account for the largest share of construction TN sponsorship opportunities in Pennsylvania. Philadelphia's ongoing transit expansion, mixed-use development, and infrastructure projects drive consistent demand for engineers and project managers. Pittsburgh's construction activity is concentrated around healthcare, university, and industrial sectors. Allentown and Harrisburg also have active commercial and public construction markets worth targeting.
What types of construction roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN visa eligibility in construction is limited to specialty occupations listed under USMCA. Roles that commonly qualify include civil engineers, structural engineers, geotechnical engineers, architects, urban planners, and certain management-level positions requiring a relevant bachelor's degree. General trades work, site supervision, and labor roles do not qualify. A degree in the specific field tied to the position is required to support TN status.
How do I find construction TN sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for professionals seeking TN visa sponsorship and lets you filter by visa type, state, and industry. For construction TN jobs in Pennsylvania, you can browse verified listings from employers familiar with TN sponsorship requirements. Migrate Mate focuses exclusively on roles where sponsorship is part of the employer's hiring process, which saves time compared to filtering through general job postings where sponsorship willingness is unclear.
Are there state-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in Pennsylvania's construction industry?
Pennsylvania requires professional engineers and architects to hold a state-issued license to practice independently, which is separate from TN visa eligibility. TN status authorizes work for a specific employer in a defined role, so changes in project assignment or employer require updated documentation. Pennsylvania's prevailing wage laws apply to public construction contracts, which can affect how employers structure compensation for sponsored positions.
