Which healthcare companies sponsor TN visas in Pennsylvania?
Large health systems with a history of sponsoring international professionals include Penn Medicine, UPMC, Jefferson Health, Main Line Health, and Geisinger. Academic medical centers affiliated with universities tend to have established international hiring processes. Specialty hospitals, children's hospitals like CHOP, and regional health networks across the state also hire in TN-eligible clinical and scientific roles, though sponsorship practices vary by department and role.
Which cities in Pennsylvania have the most healthcare TN sponsorship jobs?
Philadelphia and Pittsburgh account for the largest share of healthcare TN sponsorship opportunities, driven by their concentration of academic medical centers, research hospitals, and specialty clinics. Allentown, Harrisburg, and Hershey are secondary markets with notable hospital employers including Lehigh Valley Health Network and Penn State Health. Suburban areas surrounding Philadelphia also have active hiring from large regional health systems.
What types of healthcare roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN visa eligibility in healthcare covers a defined list of occupations, including physicians, dentists, pharmacists, registered nurses, physical and occupational therapists, medical laboratory technologists, and dietitians. Each role must match the specific occupational categories listed under USMCA. Clinical support roles, healthcare administration, and non-clinical positions generally do not qualify. Confirming that a specific job title maps to an approved TN category is an important step before applying.
How do I find healthcare TN sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for internationally trained professionals seeking visa sponsorship jobs in the U.S. You can filter by state, visa type, and industry to find healthcare roles in Pennsylvania that offer TN sponsorship. This removes the need to manually sort through listings that don't support international candidates. Searching with TN and healthcare filters on Migrate Mate surfaces employers in Pennsylvania who are actively open to sponsoring eligible Canadian and Mexican applicants.
Are there any Pennsylvania-specific considerations for healthcare TN sponsorship?
Pennsylvania requires state licensure for most regulated healthcare professions, and that process is separate from and independent of TN visa approval. Registered nurses, physical therapists, and pharmacists, for example, must obtain a Pennsylvania state license before or shortly after beginning work. Some licensing boards require proof of U.S. work authorization, so coordinating visa and licensure timelines with your employer is important. Academic medical centers in Pennsylvania often have immigration support staff familiar with this process.
