Which accounting companies sponsor TN visas in Pennsylvania?
In Pennsylvania, TN visa sponsorship for accounting roles is most common among Big Four firms (Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG), which have significant offices in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. Large regional firms such as Baker Tilly and CBIZ also operate in the state. Healthcare systems like UPMC and University of Pennsylvania Health System, along with financial services and insurance companies headquartered in the Philadelphia metro, regularly hire accounting professionals and have established immigration support processes.
Which cities in Pennsylvania have the most accounting TN sponsorship jobs?
Philadelphia is by far the largest market for accounting TN sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania, driven by its concentration of financial services, insurance, law, and healthcare employers. Pittsburgh is a secondary hub, with opportunities at major healthcare systems, technology companies, and manufacturing firms. Harrisburg, as the state capital, has demand from government contractors and public accounting firms serving state agencies. King of Prussia and the broader Philadelphia suburbs also have notable corporate accounting hiring.
What types of accounting roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
The TN visa covers Accountants as a designated profession, which generally includes roles such as staff accountant, senior accountant, financial analyst (accounting-focused), internal auditor, tax accountant, and management accountant. The role must require, and the candidate must hold, a bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or a closely related field. General bookkeeping or accounts payable clerk positions that do not require a degree typically do not qualify under the TN Accountant category.
How do I find accounting TN sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by TN visa type, the Accounting and Auditing industry, and Pennsylvania to see employers actively posting roles open to TN sponsorship. This saves time compared to manually screening general job postings where sponsorship eligibility is rarely stated upfront. Because TN sponsorship does not require a lottery or lengthy petition process, Pennsylvania employers who understand the visa category are often more willing to consider it.
Are there any Pennsylvania-specific considerations for accounting TN sponsorship?
Pennsylvania does not impose additional state-level licensing barriers that affect TN eligibility itself, but CPA licensure in the state requires passing the Uniform CPA Exam and meeting Pennsylvania State Board of Accountancy requirements, which are separate from immigration status. TN visa holders can sit for the CPA exam and pursue licensure while working. Philadelphia-based employers in heavily regulated industries such as banking and insurance may also require specific credentials alongside TN status, so confirming both immigration and professional licensing requirements before applying is worthwhile.
