Which accounting companies sponsor TN visas in New Jersey?
New Jersey's largest TN sponsors in accounting include the Big Four firms (Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG), which maintain significant offices in Parsippany, Florham Park, and Short Hills. Regional firms like WithumSmith+Brown, headquartered in Princeton, also sponsor TN workers. Beyond public accounting, major corporations based in New Jersey, including Johnson & Johnson, Merck, and Prudential Financial, regularly hire TN-status accountants for in-house finance and audit teams.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most accounting TN sponsorship jobs?
Newark and Jersey City lead in volume, driven by financial services firms and large corporate headquarters with active accounting teams. Parsippany and Florham Park are major clusters for Big Four and mid-market firm offices. Princeton attracts roles tied to pharmaceutical and biotech companies with significant finance operations. Iselin and Woodbridge also see consistent postings from mid-size regional accounting firms serving the New York metro market.
What types of accounting roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN sponsorship covers a defined list of accounting occupations including Accountant, Auditor, and certain financial analyst roles when the position requires a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. In New Jersey, qualifying roles most commonly include public accountants, internal auditors, tax accountants, forensic accountants, and cost accountants. Bookkeeping and accounts payable roles generally do not qualify because they typically do not require a baccalaureate-level degree in accounting or a related field.
How do I find accounting TN sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for TN-eligible candidates and filters accounting jobs in New Jersey by visa type, so you're not sifting through postings that won't sponsor. The platform lists roles from employers with a documented history of TN sponsorship, including public accounting firms and corporate finance teams across Newark, Parsippany, and Princeton. Searching by the Accounting and Auditing category in New Jersey will surface the most relevant active openings.
Are there any New Jersey-specific considerations for accounting TN sponsorship?
New Jersey requires accountants using the CPA designation to hold a license issued by the New Jersey State Board of Accountancy. While TN status does not itself require a CPA, some employer job descriptions in New Jersey list active licensure as a requirement, which can affect eligibility for specific roles. Canadian applicants should also note that New Jersey's high concentration of financial services employers means some roles involve securities-adjacent work, which may carry additional regulatory or registration requirements separate from TN status.
