Which accounting companies sponsor TN visas in Arizona?
The Big Four firms, Deloitte, KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Ernst & Young, all have offices in Phoenix and Scottsdale and have historically sponsored TN visa holders in accounting roles. Large corporations with Arizona headquarters or major operations, including Honeywell, Freeport-McMoRan, and Avnet, also hire accountants and have sponsored TN professionals. Regional CPA firms and staffing firms with national clients are less consistent but not uncommon.
Which cities in Arizona have the most accounting TN sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix is by far the largest market for accounting TN sponsorship jobs in Arizona, driven by its concentration of Fortune 500 regional offices, financial services firms, and corporate shared services centers. Scottsdale is a secondary hub with a strong presence of accounting and professional services firms. Tempe, home to several large employers near Arizona State University, also generates accounting hiring activity, particularly in financial analysis and audit support roles.
What types of accounting roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
Under the TN visa category, qualifying accounting roles generally include licensed accountants, CPAs, auditors, and financial analysts where the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or a directly related field. Common titles that have been approved include Staff Accountant, Senior Accountant, Internal Auditor, and Tax Accountant. Roles that are primarily bookkeeping or clerical in nature typically do not meet the specialty occupation standard required for TN classification.
How do I find accounting TN sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate is specifically built for international job seekers pursuing U.S. visa sponsorship, including TN visa roles. You can filter by visa type, state, and industry to surface accounting positions in Arizona where employers have indicated TN sponsorship. This is more targeted than general job searches because the results are filtered for sponsorship willingness, saving time when your visa status is a key variable in the job search.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for accounting TN sponsorship?
Arizona does not require a state-specific license for TN purposes, but employers hiring for public accounting roles, particularly audit and attestation work, will often expect or require CPA licensure through the Arizona State Board of Accountancy. Canadian accounting credentials such as the CPA Canada designation are generally recognized by U.S. employers, though state licensure requirements are separate from TN eligibility. Arizona's lack of a state income tax on wages is also a relevant consideration when evaluating compensation.
