Which biotech and pharma companies sponsor TN visas in Florida?
Florida-based employers with documented TN visa sponsorship activity include Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and contract research organizations like Covance and ICON Clinical Research. Academic medical centers such as the University of Miami Health System and Moffitt Cancer Center also hire TN-eligible professionals. Sponsorship practices vary by role and department, so confirming directly with a recruiter or HR team is important.
Which cities in Florida have the most biotech and pharma TN sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads in pharmaceutical distribution and Latin American clinical operations, making it a hub for regulatory and medical affairs roles. Tampa has a growing life sciences cluster anchored by Moffitt Cancer Center and USF Health. Orlando is emerging in medical devices and biotech manufacturing. The Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton corridor also hosts several specialty pharma and CRO offices with technical hiring needs.
What types of biotech and pharma roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship in Florida?
TN visa eligibility in biotech and pharma typically covers roles requiring a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a qualifying field. Common qualifying positions include biochemists, microbiologists, pharmacists, medical laboratory technologists, and scientific project managers. Regulatory affairs specialists and clinical research associates may qualify depending on degree requirements for the specific position. Roles framed as general management without a science degree requirement are less likely to qualify.
How do I find biotech & pharma TN sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate lists biotech and pharma positions in Florida that include TN visa sponsorship, letting you filter by visa type and industry rather than manually screening hundreds of postings. Because TN sponsorship availability is not always stated in generic job ads, using a platform built specifically for visa-sponsored roles saves significant time. Migrate Mate focuses on employers actively open to TN candidates in scientific and technical fields across Florida.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in biotech and pharma?
Florida does not impose state-level licensing barriers unique to TN holders beyond standard professional licensing that applies to all workers, such as pharmacist licensure through the Florida Board of Pharmacy. However, roles in clinical research or pharmaceutical manufacturing may require additional compliance with FDA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practice standards, which employers factor into hiring decisions. Florida's large Puerto Rico-connected pharma supply chain also creates demand for bilingual scientific professionals.
