Which food and beverage companies sponsor TN visas in Florida?
Large food processors, beverage distributors, and hospitality groups with Florida operations have historically supported TN sponsorship for qualifying roles. Companies such as Darden Restaurants (headquartered in Orlando), Winn-Dixie parent Southeastern Grocers (based in Jacksonville), and national beverage distributors with regional offices in Miami and Tampa are among the types of employers that hire for TN-eligible scientific and technical positions.
Which cities in Florida have the most food and beverage TN sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads due to its concentration of food import, distribution, and hospitality businesses, particularly those with Latin American trade ties. Tampa has a strong food manufacturing and processing presence, including beverage production facilities. Orlando's hospitality-heavy economy creates demand for nutritionists and food safety specialists. Jacksonville, home to several food retail headquarters, also generates relevant openings for TN-eligible candidates.
What types of food and beverage roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN visa eligibility in food and beverage is limited to specific USMCA-listed occupations. Roles that commonly qualify include food scientists, agricultural scientists, nutritionists, and chemists working in product development, quality assurance, or regulatory compliance. General management, culinary, or production operations roles do not qualify because they do not fall within the USMCA's defined professional categories requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher.
How do I find food and beverage TN sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for candidates who need visa sponsorship. You can filter by TN visa type, the food and beverage industry, and Florida as your target state to see employers actively hiring for TN-eligible roles. Because TN sponsorship in this sector is limited to specific professional categories, using a platform focused on sponsorship jobs helps avoid applying to roles that won't qualify.
Are there any Florida-specific or industry-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in food and beverage?
Florida's food and beverage sector has a high concentration of import-export businesses and hospitality groups, which can mean more demand for food scientists and nutritionists in product compliance and menu development roles. However, Florida does not have state-level immigration programs, so all TN requirements are federal. Canadian citizens can obtain TN status at the port of entry, while Mexican nationals must apply at a U.S. consulate, which is worth factoring into your timeline.
