ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Quality Engineer - Projects plays a critical role in supporting high-impact, customer-facing initiatives. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are executed compliantly, risks are proactively mitigated, and sustainable solutions are implemented using data-driven quality engineering practices. The position is hands-on, highly collaborative, and essential to driving consistent execution and a strong quality culture across the site.
This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Quality Engineering Projects and is part of the Membrane-Filtration Team located in Pensacola, FL and will be an on-site role.
What you will do:
- Support execution of high-impact, cross-functional priority quality engineering projects, ensuring compliant delivery aligned with QMS, regulatory, and customer requirements.
- Apply structured problem solving (RCA, CAPA, risk assessments, statistical analysis) to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, R&D, and Regulatory teams to drive quality, delivery, and risk mitigation outcomes.
- Analyze quality and process data to identify trends, support decision-making, and demonstrate project effectiveness through defined KPIs.
- Support audit readiness and execution (internal, external, regulatory, and customer) related to quality engineering initiatives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or science; or 5 years engineering experience.
- Additional 3–5 years of experience in Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering within an ISO 13485 or highly regulated environment.
- Able to apply knowledge of QMS, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA/cGMP requirements, into risk-based thinking, writing controlled documents, change control and performing quality event investigations.
- Are proficient in Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, MSA, and Gage R&R methodologies.
- Collaborative, analytical, innovative, and execution-focused, with the ability to influence across functions and communicate clearly at all levels. Disciplined, accountable, willing & eager to make a difference!
TRAVEL, MOTOR VEHICLE RECORD & PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS: if applicable for role
- Ability to travel 15% travel, overnight, within USA and internationally
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lb
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Have experience in filtration, membranes, or bioprocessing manufacturing environments.
- Bring exposure to analytical chemistry, microbiology, contamination control, sterilization, or ISO 17025 environments.
- Have used systems such as SAP, Veeva, Magic, or Oracle.
