Which science and research companies sponsor TN visas in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts has one of the highest concentrations of life sciences and research employers in the country. Biogen, Moderna, Pfizer, Sanofi, AstraZeneca, and Takeda all have significant Massachusetts operations and have hired TN visa workers in scientific roles. Major research institutions such as MIT, Harvard, the Broad Institute, and Massachusetts General Hospital also sponsor TN status for qualifying research and scientific positions.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most science and research TN sponsorship jobs?
Cambridge and Boston account for the largest share of science and research TN sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts, driven by the Kendall Square biotech corridor, Longwood Medical Area, and numerous university research centers. Worcester is a secondary hub with academic medical centers and pharmaceutical employers. The suburban Route 128 technology belt, including Waltham, Lexington, and Framingham, also hosts a significant number of life sciences and research employers.
What types of science and research roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship in Massachusetts?
TN status covers a defined list of science and research occupations for Canadian and Mexican professionals. Roles that commonly qualify include biochemists, biologists, chemists, clinical laboratory technologists, computer systems analysts, engineers, geologists, and scientific technicians or technologists. The position must align with a TN-eligible occupation category, require at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and the applicant must hold the corresponding credentials.
