Which government employers in Georgia sponsor TN visas?
Federal contractors and agencies operating in Georgia are among the most active TN sponsors in the government sector. Companies supporting Fort Eisenhower (formerly Fort Gordon) near Augusta, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, and Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins regularly hire Canadian and Mexican professionals. Large defense contractors such as Leidos, Booz Allen Hamilton, and SAIC have significant Georgia footprints and sponsor TN workers in technical roles.
Which cities in Georgia have the most government TN sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta concentrates the most government TN roles, driven by federal agencies including the CDC, the Department of Homeland Security, and numerous federal contractors headquartered or regionally based there. Augusta is a strong secondary market due to the cyber and intelligence mission at Fort Eisenhower. Warner Robins and Savannah also generate TN-eligible government positions tied to military installations and logistics commands.
What types of government roles in Georgia typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN visa eligibility requires the position to fall within a NAFTA-listed specialty occupation. In Georgia's government sector, qualifying roles commonly include systems engineers, software developers, network architects, scientists (biologists, chemists, and public health researchers at CDC), accountants, and management consultants. Roles in cybersecurity and signals intelligence tied to Fort Eisenhower are a particularly active category. Each role must require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field.
How do I find government TN sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for government TN sponsorship jobs in Georgia. The platform filters job listings specifically by visa type and state, so you can browse confirmed TN-eligible government and public sector roles without having to screen out irrelevant postings. Given that TN sponsorship in government often sits with federal contractors rather than agencies themselves, filtering by industry and location on Migrate Mate saves significant research time.
Are there Georgia-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in government roles?
Georgia's large military and federal contractor presence means many government TN roles require or prefer a security clearance, which Canadian and Mexican TN holders can pursue but which adds time to onboarding. Professionals working on CDC or public health contracts may also encounter agency-specific credentialing requirements beyond TN status itself. Georgia does not impose additional state-level work authorization requirements, but employers on federal contracts must participate in E-Verify, so TN documentation must be complete before the start date.
