- Supervises the day-to-day operations, and coordination and integration of services, programs and activities of the Oncology Research Department.
- Ensures operations and functions are in compliance with regulatory requirements and the policies and procedures of the Medical Center.
- Serves as the manager of the department/unit in the absence of the Director as assigned.
- Provides support and expertise for oncology research throughout the system.
- Serves as the Clinical Research representative for the Cancer Committee.
- Maintains a productive and healthy relationship with the University of Hawaii Cancer Consortium.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Required: finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, sitting.
- Frequent: walking.
- Occasional: standing, stooping/bending, lifting and carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 5 pounds (e.g. folders/paper products/office supplies), reaching above, at and below shoulder level.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
- Current Hawaii State license as a Registered Nurse.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Current certification in BLS/HCP.
Experience:
- Three (3) years nursing experience in an acute care facility or research with at least two (2) years experience in oncology research.
- One (1) year supervisory/leadership experience.
