About Petco: We’re proud to be "where the pets go" to find everything they need to live their best lives for more than 60 years — from their favorite meals and toys, to trusted supplies and expert support from people who get it, because we live it. We believe in the universal truths of pet parenthood — the boundless boops, missing slippers, late night zoomies and everything in between. And we’re here for it. Every tail wag, every vet visit, every step of the way. We are 29,000+ strong and together we nurture the pet-human bond in more than 1,500 Petco stores across the U.S., Mexico and Puerto Rico, 250+ Vetco Total Care hospitals, hundreds of preventive care clinics and eight distribution centers. In 1999, we founded Petco Love. Together, we support thousands of local animal welfare groups nationwide and have helped find homes for approximately 7 million animals through in-store adoption events.
Our vision at Petco is Healthier Pets. Happier People. Better World. We’re making things better for pets, people and the planet through our Think Adoption First philosophy, the Petco Foundation and other important initiatives that focus on putting animals first, educating pet parents and reducing our carbon footprint. The journey starts with knowledgeable, passionately engaged associates who are proud to recommend Petco as a place to work, who believe in our Vision and who are committed to delivering a superior customer experience. From our retail stores and our network of Distribution Centers to our Corporate offices, you'll work with others who share your values and commitment. Which animal care & pet services companies sponsor Green Card visas in Idaho?
Larger veterinary groups operating multi-location clinics in Idaho are the most consistent Green Card sponsors in this industry, as the PERM labor certification process requires resources that smaller independent practices rarely maintain. Corporate veterinary chains, university animal health departments, and large livestock operations connected to Idaho's agricultural economy are worth targeting. Checking DOL OFLC disclosure data by employer name can confirm prior sponsorship activity.
Which cities in Idaho have the most animal care & pet services Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Boise accounts for the largest share of animal care Green Card sponsorship opportunities in Idaho, driven by its concentration of corporate veterinary clinics, animal hospitals, and a growing urban pet services sector. Twin Falls and Nampa see periodic sponsorship activity, particularly for veterinary technicians and assistants. Rural areas across southern Idaho occasionally sponsor large-animal veterinarians due to persistent shortages in agricultural communities.
What types of animal care & pet services roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Idaho?
Roles requiring a specific degree or professional license are most likely to qualify for employer-sponsored Green Card pathways in Idaho. Licensed veterinarians, veterinary technologists holding an associate or bachelor's degree, and credentialed animal behaviorists are common candidates. Positions such as kennel attendants or general groomers rarely meet the specialty occupation threshold needed for EB-2 or EB-3 classification. USCIS evaluates each petition based on the specific duties and educational requirements of the role.
How do I find animal care & pet services Green Card sponsorship jobs in Idaho?
Migrate Mate lets you filter job listings specifically by visa sponsorship type, so you can focus on animal care & pet services employers in Idaho that have a documented history of supporting Green Card petitions. This is more efficient than reviewing general job boards, which rarely flag sponsorship willingness clearly. Searching by Idaho location and filtering for permanent residency sponsorship within the animal care category surfaces the most relevant opportunities.
Are there any state-specific or industry-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in animal care & pet services in Idaho?
Idaho's agricultural economy means demand for large-animal and livestock veterinarians can be stronger here than in more urbanized states, and some rural employers have pursued EB-3 sponsorship to fill persistent shortages. Idaho does not impose state-level immigration requirements beyond federal PERM and I-140 obligations, but employers must complete a bona fide recruitment process demonstrating no qualified U.S. workers are available before PERM certification. Veterinary roles often require Idaho state licensure regardless of immigration status.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card animal care & pet services jobs in Idaho?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
