As an IT Software Support Engineer, you will develop, maintain, and support software applications, databases, and data analysis solutions that are essential to manufacturing operations. This role requires strong solving, analytical, and technical skills, along with the ability to collaborate across global teams to resolve issues, improve system reliability, and drive continuous improvement. You will leverage modern development practices, automation, and AI-enabled technologies to enhance operational effectiveness and customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Support, develop, and maintain manufacturing software solutions, databases, and data analysis systems to ensure high availability and operational performance.
- Fix and resolve critical system issues, minimize downtime, and implement sustainable software solutions that improve reliability and supportability.
- Design and develop utilities, monitoring solutions, metrics, and automation tools that improve support efficiency and operational visibility.
- Collaborate with global customers, developers, infrastructure teams, and business partners to identify improvement opportunities and implement worldwide best-known methods (BKMs).
- Apply AI-Assisted, Generative AI, and Agentic AI solutions to support fixing, automation, analysis, monitoring, and operational workflows while maintaining data integrity, security, and appropriate human oversight.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience supporting IT systems in a manufacturing or semiconductor environment.
- Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages such as C#, Python, PowerShell, Perl, Bash, Visual Basic .NET, SQL, or related technologies.
- Experience supporting Linux, Unix, or Windows-based systems and troubleshooting software, database, or application issues.
- Demonstrated analytical, debugging, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and global locations.
- Experience Using AI or AI Assistants to support software development, technical analysis, troubleshooting, documentation, or operational workflows.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience supporting enterprise applications in a professional IT support, manufacturing, or semiconductor environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems, manufacturing tracking systems, or related production support processes.
- Experience with Splunk, KPI development, IT service intelligence (ITSI) monitoring solutions, or operational analytics platforms.
- Experience designing or implementing automation solutions that improve support efficiency, monitoring, or operational performance.
- Experience Applying Artificial Intelligence, Leveraging AI, or implementing Agentic Solutions to improve solving, process automation, decision support, or operational effectiveness.
