Which companies in Indiana sponsor visas for analytics engineers?
Indianapolis-based employers are the primary source of analytics engineer sponsorship in Indiana. Eli Lilly sponsors H-1B visa workers across its data and analytics teams, as does Salesforce at its Indianapolis office. Cummins and Rolls-Royce sponsor analytics roles tied to manufacturing operations. Health system Ascension Indiana and financial services firm OneAmerica also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data for analytics and data engineering positions.
What visa types are most common for analytics engineer roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa for analytics engineers in Indiana, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, statistics, information systems, or a related field. Some candidates transition from F-1 OPT, particularly graduates of Indiana University's Bloomington campus or Purdue University. The O-1A is an option for candidates with demonstrated distinction in the field, though it requires substantial supporting documentation.
Which cities in Indiana have the most analytics engineer sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the large majority of analytics engineer sponsorship activity in Indiana. Its concentration of corporate headquarters in life sciences, financial services, and technology makes it the state's primary hiring market. Bloomington sees some activity tied to Indiana University and affiliated research organizations. West Lafayette, home to Purdue University, has a smaller but growing presence, particularly in manufacturing analytics and research-adjacent roles.
How to find analytics engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters analytics engineer job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can focus on Indiana employers who have already indicated willingness to sponsor. Rather than sorting through postings with no sponsorship information, Migrate Mate surfaces roles where sponsorship is confirmed, which is particularly useful in a mid-sized market like Indiana where sponsoring employers are fewer but consistent across sectors like life sciences and advanced manufacturing.
Are there any state-specific considerations for analytics engineers seeking sponsorship in Indiana?
Indiana's analytics engineer market skews heavily toward life sciences and manufacturing, so candidates with domain experience in pharmaceutical data pipelines, supply chain analytics, or industrial IoT tend to have stronger positioning with local sponsors. The Department of Labor sets prevailing wage levels by metropolitan area, and the Indianapolis-Carmel-Anderson MSA has its own wage determinations that employers must meet when filing a Labor Condition Application. Purdue and Indiana University both produce strong local pipelines, which means competition from domestic candidates can be meaningful at the entry level.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored analytics engineer jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
