Which companies in Indiana sponsor visas for systems analysts?
Indianapolis-based employers are the most active sponsors for systems analyst roles in Indiana. Eli Lilly sponsors analysts for its enterprise IT and data systems teams. Salesforce's Indianapolis office, Cummins, and Anthem (now Elevance Health) have all filed H-1B petitions for systems analyst positions. Larger healthcare networks like Indiana University Health and Ascension also sponsor analysts supporting their clinical and administrative platforms.
Which visa types are most common for systems analyst roles in Indiana?
The H-1B visa is the most common sponsorship pathway for systems analysts in Indiana, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Some candidates transition from F-1 OPT, particularly those graduating from Purdue University or Indiana University. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may also qualify under the TN visa category.
How to find systems analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify Indiana employers actively willing to sponsor systems analysts rather than sifting through roles that exclude international candidates. You can narrow results to Indiana and filter by systems analyst titles to surface relevant openings at employers like Eli Lilly, Cummins, and Indianapolis-area healthcare and tech companies.
Which cities in Indiana have the most systems analyst sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the large majority of systems analyst sponsorship activity in Indiana, driven by its concentration of healthcare IT companies, financial services firms, and corporate headquarters. Columbus is a secondary hub due to Cummins' global operations. Fort Wayne has a smaller but growing presence, particularly in manufacturing IT. Bloomington and West Lafayette see some demand tied to Indiana University and Purdue University's surrounding tech ecosystems.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for systems analysts seeking visa sponsorship?
Indiana's dominant industries, including pharmaceutical manufacturing, logistics technology, and healthcare IT, shape which systems analyst specializations are in highest demand. Employers sponsoring under H-1B must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the Indianapolis or relevant metropolitan area, which are publicly searchable in DOL disclosure data. Candidates from Purdue or Indiana University often have a pipeline advantage with local employers already familiar with those institutions' international student populations.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored systems analyst jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
