The College of Law is seeking applicants for adjunct instructor positions for the 2026-2027 academic year.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include developing and delivering course material, including class syllabus with learning outcomes, to teach during the 2026-2027 academic year. Courses of interest include but are not limited to courses related to the environment; Legal Analysis, Writing, and Research; corporate law; criminal law and procedure; employment discrimination and employment law; intellectual property; evidence; civil procedure; and other courses that would augment the existing curriculum. Teaching includes weekly office hours, preparing formative and final assessments, and grading per College of Law grading guidelines in accordance with all other University policies and procedures.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- J.D. degree and 5-7 years legal practice experience and/or teaching experience at another institution.
- Active law license, recently retired in good standing, and/or law professor at another institution.
In addition, we desire candidates with a demonstrated ability to maintain effective and respectful working relationships with the campus community.
Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any conviction history and will be subject to a criminal background check and credential/education verification.
