Position Responsibilities
- Provide classroom instruction and hands-on clinical training for CNA students.
- Prepare students for the Tennessee CNA state certification examination.
- Teach safe, compassionate, and person-centered resident care practices.
- Develop and deliver educational materials that support student learning and clinical competency.
- Evaluate student progress, assess clinical skills, and provide constructive feedback.
- Mentor, coach, and encourage students throughout their training.
- Assist with staff development and ongoing educational initiatives as assigned.
- Promote compliance with applicable nursing standards, safety practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Model NHC's mission, vision, and values in all educational and clinical activities.
Qualifications
- Current, active Tennessee RN or LPN license required.
- Clinical experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a related healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, resident care standards, and clinical procedures.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively teach, mentor, and evaluate students.
- Previous teaching, training, or staff development experience preferred but not required.
- Passion for developing future caregivers and serving the geriatric population.
