Which companies in Iowa sponsor visas for project management analysts?
Des Moines-based financial services firms like Principal Financial Group and Nationwide, along with manufacturers such as Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids and John Deere in the Quad Cities region, have sponsored H-1B visa workers for project management analyst positions. Iowa's insurance and healthcare sectors also show consistent sponsorship activity. Reviewing Department of Labor LCA disclosure data by employer and state can help identify which Iowa companies file most frequently.
What visa types are most common for project management analyst roles in Iowa?
The H-1B visa is the most common pathway for project management analysts in Iowa. Employers must demonstrate the role qualifies as a specialty occupation, typically requiring a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, information systems, or a related field. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, and Canadian and Mexican nationals should consider the TN visa. Some employers also use the L-1 visa for internal transfers into analyst roles.
Which cities in Iowa have the most project management analyst sponsorship jobs?
Des Moines accounts for the largest share of project management analyst opportunities in Iowa, driven by its concentration of insurance, financial services, and healthcare employers. Cedar Rapids is a secondary hub with strengths in aerospace, technology, and manufacturing. The Quad Cities metro, which straddles Iowa and Illinois, adds opportunities through industrial and agricultural equipment companies. Iowa City occasionally surfaces roles tied to the University of Iowa health system.
How to find project management analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Iowa?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking U.S. visa sponsorship, including project management analyst positions in Iowa. You can filter by state and role to see Iowa employers actively open to sponsoring foreign workers. Because sponsorship is not always listed explicitly in job postings, using a platform like Migrate Mate that curates sponsorship-verified listings saves significant research time compared to searching general job sites.
Are there state-specific considerations for project management analyst visa sponsorship in Iowa?
Iowa's lower cost of living compared to coastal metros means prevailing wage requirements, which govern what sponsored workers must be paid, may be set at different levels than in cities like New York or San Francisco. Employers in Iowa must still meet Department of Labor prevailing wage standards for the specific occupation and location. Iowa State University and the University of Iowa produce graduates who enter this field, meaning some employers are familiar with Optional Practical Training and follow-on H-1B sponsorship processes.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project management analyst jobs in Iowa?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
