Which companies sponsor visas for sales roles in Kansas?
Garmin, Koch Industries, Spirit AeroSystems, and Cerner (now Oracle Health) have histories of sponsoring work visas for professional roles including sales. In Overland Park and Kansas City, technology and healthcare companies tend to sponsor enterprise and technical sales positions. Agricultural equipment and aviation firms in Wichita also hire internationally for business development and account management roles.
Which visa types are most common for sales roles in Kansas?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for sales professionals in Kansas, but the role must qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it typically requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field like marketing, business, or a technical discipline directly tied to the product. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying sales-adjacent classifications. The O-1 visa applies to those with demonstrated exceptional achievement.
Which cities in Kansas have the most sales sponsorship jobs?
Overland Park has the highest concentration of sponsored sales roles, driven by its technology and financial services sector. Wichita follows, with aerospace and manufacturing companies hiring for technical and industrial sales. Kansas City (on the Kansas side) sees activity in healthcare, logistics, and enterprise software sales. Lawrence has a smaller but growing presence tied to University of Kansas-adjacent businesses.
How to find sales visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters sales roles in Kansas by visa sponsorship availability, so you are not sorting through listings that offer no sponsorship. Search by city or industry to focus on Overland Park technology firms or Wichita aerospace employers. Migrate Mate surfaces employers with active sponsorship histories, which saves significant time compared to cold outreach.
Are there state-specific considerations for sales visa sponsorship in Kansas?
Kansas does not have state-level visa programs, so federal rules govern all sponsorship. One practical consideration is that sales roles must meet the H-1B specialty occupation standard, which can be harder to establish for generalist account management positions than for technical sales tied to engineering or software products. Employers in Wichita's aerospace corridor are more experienced with visa sponsorship than smaller regional firms.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored sales jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
