Which electronics companies sponsor TN visas in Kansas?
Aerospace and defense manufacturers in the Wichita area, including Spirit AeroSystems and Textron Aviation, have hired engineers in electronics-adjacent roles under TN sponsorship. Garmin, headquartered in Olathe, is one of the most consistent TN sponsors for electronics and hardware engineers in Kansas. Smaller contract manufacturers and industrial electronics firms along the I-35 corridor also sponsor TN workers, though with less frequency than major employers.
Which cities in Kansas have the most electronics TN sponsorship jobs?
Olathe and Overland Park, in the Kansas City metro area, account for a significant share of electronics TN sponsorship activity in Kansas, driven largely by Garmin and the broader tech and manufacturing cluster in Johnson County. Wichita is the second major hub, concentrated in aerospace electronics and avionics manufacturing. Lawrence and Topeka see occasional openings but at much lower volume than the Kansas City suburbs or Wichita.
What types of electronics roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN visa eligibility in electronics generally covers roles that require a bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a closely related field. Common qualifying titles include electrical engineer, electronics engineer, hardware design engineer, embedded systems engineer, and RF engineer. Technician-level roles typically do not qualify because TN sponsorship under the engineer category requires the position itself to require a degree, not just prefer one.
How do I find electronics TN sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa type, so you can search for TN-eligible electronics roles in Kansas without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. This is especially useful in Kansas, where TN sponsorship is concentrated among a smaller set of employers in Olathe, Overland Park, and Wichita. Migrate Mate also surfaces roles from aerospace and hardware companies that actively sponsor Canadian and Mexican professionals.
Are there any Kansas-specific considerations for electronics TN sponsorship?
Kansas does not impose state-level work authorization requirements beyond federal TN rules, but the electronics sector here skews heavily toward aerospace and defense. Some positions at defense contractors require security clearances, which can limit eligibility for TN holders who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Candidates should confirm with the employer whether a clearance is required before applying, as clearance-dependent roles may not be viable on TN status regardless of technical qualifications.
