About CBTS
CBTS partners with organizations across North America to design, implement, and manage the technology that runs their business — from cloud and infrastructure to cybersecurity, unified communications, and managed IT services. We combine the reach of a national provider with the responsiveness of a trusted local partner. Our New York region is in high-growth mode, and this role is being built to be the flagship for sales performance within that momentum.
The Role
We're looking for a high-energy, new-business hunter who understands that activity builds funnel — and funnel builds revenue. You will own a defined territory of net-new target accounts, responsible for the prospecting, relationship-building, and legwork it takes to bring new logos to CBTS: pounding the pavement, meeting with OEM and vendor partners, and generating your own pipeline rather than managing an existing book. You'll have real support behind you: a dedicated ISR (Inside Sales Representative) and growing marketing investment focused on lead generation, so you can spend more of your time in front of prospects and OEM partners and less time cold-starting from zero. You'll be part of a collaborative, in-office culture — this team is expected to be present and visible, working from our office roughly two days a week. We're building something here, and we want people who want to help build it.
- Prospect relentlessly into a named territory — outbound calling, email, social selling, networking, and referral generation — to build and maintain a consistent pipeline of net-new opportunities.
- Own the full new-business sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, solution positioning, proposal development, negotiation, and close.
- Build and maintain direct relationships with OEM and vendor partners as a core source of new pipeline and co-selling opportunities.
- Partner with your dedicated ISR and the marketing team to convert lead-generation investment into qualified meetings and opportunities.
- Work with Sales Engineering and solution architects to scope technology solutions — cloud, infrastructure, security, unified communications, and managed services — that address prospect business challenges.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date opportunity and activity records in Eightfold/CRM, including pipeline stage, next steps, and forecasted close dates.
- Represent CBTS at industry events, OEM events, and networking functions to build market presence and generate new relationships.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly new-logo revenue and pipeline-generation targets [VERIFY: specific quota/comp plan figures to be confirmed with sales leadership before posting].
- Be present in the office roughly two days per week to collaborate with the team and support a growing regional presence.
- Transition closed new-logo accounts to the account management team with a clean, documented handoff once the relationship is established.
What You Bring
- High energy and a genuine new-business mindset — you understand that activity drives funnel, and funnel drives results.
- Technology sales experience preferred — MSP, VAR, vendor, or OEM background is a strong fit.
- A demonstrated hunter mentality — comfort with high-volume outbound prospecting and a resilient, self-motivated approach to building pipeline from scratch.
- Strong discovery and consultative selling skills; ability to translate technical solutions into business value for prospective clients.
- Comfort building and maintaining relationships with OEM/vendor partners as a pipeline source.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior decision-makers.
Why CBTS
- A broad, in-demand technology portfolio that opens doors across industries.
- Comprehensive benefits, professional development, and a collaborative, high-achiever sales culture.
The compensation range for this role is $90,000 - $115,000 and reflects CBTS's good-faith estimate, at the time of posting, of the salary the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position. The applicable base pay offered to a successful candidate will be determined within this range, based on the candidate's designated primary work location and factors including role scope and responsibilities, required qualifications, and the individual's experience, education, skills, and knowledge. This role may also be eligible for additional compensation, such as discretionary bonuses or sales-based variable compensation, in accordance with applicable plans and eligibility requirements.
This position is eligible to participate in CBTS's benefits programs, which generally include:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- CBTS-sponsored life and disability insurance
- retirement savings plan with 4% match
- Paid time off, including [vacation, sick leave, and holidays]
- Paid parental leave
- Tuition reimbursement
Specific eligibility, coverage details, and waiting periods are governed by the applicable plan documents and may vary by role, work location, and employment classification.

Which companies sponsor visas for business sales representatives in Kentucky?
Kentucky employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories in sales-related roles include Humana, Lexmark, Ashland, and Tempur Sealy, all headquartered in Louisville or Lexington. Logistics firms operating around the UPS Worldport hub in Louisville also hire international sales talent. Sponsorship is not guaranteed, but these larger employers have established HR infrastructure to support the process.
Which visa types are most common for business sales representative roles in Kentucky?
The H-1B is the most common visa for business sales representatives in Kentucky, though the role must qualify as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as business, marketing, or a technical discipline tied to the employer's product. Candidates already holding TN visa, L-1 visa, or O-1 visa status may also transition into sales roles without new sponsorship depending on their employer.
Which cities in Kentucky have the most business sales representative sponsorship jobs?
Louisville accounts for the majority of business sales representative sponsorship activity in Kentucky, driven by its healthcare, logistics, and manufacturing employer base. Lexington follows, with opportunities tied to technology firms, horse industry suppliers, and regional corporate offices. Bowling Green sees some activity linked to the automotive sector, particularly suppliers connected to the Corvette assembly plant.
How to find business sales representative visa sponsorship jobs in Kentucky?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, making it straightforward to identify business sales representative roles in Kentucky where employers are open to sponsoring international candidates. Rather than sifting through general postings, you can search by role and state to surface relevant opportunities in Louisville, Lexington, and other Kentucky markets with active hiring.
Are there state-specific considerations for business sales representatives seeking visa sponsorship in Kentucky?
Kentucky's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B business sales representative roles are determined by the Department of Labor based on the specific county of employment, meaning Louisville and Lexington positions will reflect higher wage floors than rural markets. The state's concentration in healthcare, bourbon distribution, and advanced manufacturing means employers often prefer candidates with industry-specific B2B sales experience rather than generalist backgrounds.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business sales representative jobs in Kentucky?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
