Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installations, migrations, remediation, decommissioning, and break/fix activities within data center environments.
- Audit and oversee work performed by third-party technicians, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot optical transport networks and conduct fiber testing using OTDRs, optical power meters, VFLs, and related test equipment.
- Interpret engineering documents, Methods of Procedure (MoPs), network diagrams, cut sheets, and cabling plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and provide customer updates through ticketing systems and direct communication.
- Support structured cabling, fiber optic infrastructure, and connectivity for mission-critical environments.
- Travel up to 50% as needed to support projects in non-home market locations.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of experience in data center operations, telecommunications, optical transport, or related technical environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with single-mode and multi-mode fiber, LC connectors, fan-outs, and structured cabling.
- Experience with optical testing, troubleshooting, and transport network support.
- Previous team lead or project coordination experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and customer-facing skills.
