About Glimpse
The last decade has been incredibly exciting for electric mobility. However, the electrification of the transportation industry has scaled while relying on an insufficient set of quality control tools. This has led to uncomfortably high rates of battery pack failure and multi-billion-dollar safety recalls. In our view, every headline of electric vehicles and e-bikes catching fire is a major impediment towards an all-electric future.
After having spent a few years in the trenches of battery and electric vehicle factories at Tesla and Toyota, Glimpse’s cofounders set out to build a technology to enable battery quality at scale. In 2024, Glimpse launched the Glimpse Portal, the first scalable X-ray-powered quality management platform for battery cells.
After quadrupling revenue in 2025, Glimpse is now expanding into new hardware industries that rely too heavily on an outdated X-ray scanning technology stack to control the quality of their parts. Today, Glimpse serves over 90 customers, including some of the world’s largest battery companies and OEMs, such as NASA, Anker, Lucid Motors, the Navy, and several hyperscalers.
Role
As Glimpse grows its team and expands into new industries, our finance and people functions are getting more complex: more hires to make and onboard, a growing multi-state employee and commercial footprint, benefits to manage, and books that need to stay clean while we move quickly. We're looking for a driven operator to own these functions - someone who starts as an individual contributor, with a clear path to build and lead a team as these functions scale.
You will be Glimpse's first dedicated HR & finance hire, reporting directly to the CEO. You'll own these functions end to end, with tooling and partners already in place: accounting and finance operations (working with our outside accounting firm), payroll through Rippling, sales tax and compliance, full-cycle recruiting, onboarding and offboarding, benefits selection, and performance management across teams. No team above you, no one to hand things off to.
You don't need to be an expert in both finance and people - we're looking for someone strong in one who's genuinely excited to grow into the other. If that sounds exciting, we would love to talk.

Which companies sponsor visas for finance managers in Massachusetts?
Boston-based financial institutions and life sciences companies are among the most active sponsors. Fidelity Investments, State Street, Wellington Management, Liberty Mutual, and Putnam Investments have consistent H-1B visa filing histories for finance manager roles. In the biotech sector, Biogen, Moderna, and Vertex Pharmaceuticals also sponsor finance managers, particularly those supporting FP&A and treasury functions within their Massachusetts operations.
Which visa types are most common for finance manager roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the primary visa category for finance managers in Massachusetts, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with advanced degrees may also pursue EB-2 immigrant visa pathways through employer sponsorship. L-1A visas apply to finance managers transferring intracompany from a foreign affiliate into a managerial capacity at a Massachusetts office.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most finance manager sponsorship jobs?
Boston accounts for the largest share of finance manager sponsorship activity in Massachusetts, driven by its concentration of asset management firms, insurance companies, and regional bank headquarters. Waltham and Burlington along Route 128 host technology and healthcare company finance teams that also sponsor. Cambridge sees demand from biotech and pharmaceutical firms, while Worcester has a smaller but growing presence through healthcare systems and financial services.
How to find finance manager visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate filters finance manager roles in Massachusetts specifically by visa sponsorship, so you're not sorting through listings that won't support international candidates. Employers on the platform have documented H-1B or other sponsorship history, which is particularly useful in a competitive market like Boston where many postings don't clarify sponsorship availability upfront. Searching by Massachusetts on Migrate Mate surfaces active roles across financial services, biotech, and technology employers in the state.
Are there any Massachusetts-specific considerations for finance manager visa sponsorship?
Massachusetts employers sponsoring H-1B finance managers must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements, which in the Boston metropolitan area reflect a high cost-of-living market. Candidates from Boston University, MIT, and Northeastern University on OPT status are a common pipeline into finance manager roles, and many large employers in the state are familiar with the OPT-to-H-1B transition. Massachusetts also has a strong venture capital ecosystem, meaning finance manager roles at funded startups can be a viable sponsorship path, though smaller companies may have less prior sponsorship experience.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored finance manager jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
