As Project Manager on the Facilities Management team, you will own the end-to-end delivery of capital projects — from lab buildouts and HVAC upgrades to new site development — that directly enable Lila's scientific operations.
Reporting to the Director of Capital Projects, you will manage the full project lifecycle: scoping, planning, budgeting, vendor and contractor management, permitting, and closeout. This role sits at the intersection of construction execution and scientific infrastructure. You will bring order and accountability to complex, multi-stakeholder projects in a fast-moving environment where the quality of the facilities directly affects the quality of the science.

- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers; identify and resolve issues before they affect cost or timeline
- Manage vendors, architects, and general contractors; hold external partners accountable for quality, safety, and on-schedule delivery
- Partner with scientific, operations, engineering, and EHS teams to align project scope with research and operational requirements
- Own permitting, inspections, and regulatory compliance across all active projects; ensure adherence to applicable safety standards and building codes
- Support capital planning by contributing project data, cost forecasts, and lessons learned to inform future facility investments
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience managing facilities capital projects, with a track record of delivering complex construction or infrastructure projects on time and within budget
- Experience delivering projects in a lab, cleanroom, or technical facility environment
- Demonstrated experience managing vendors, architects, and general contractors across the full project lifecycle
- Working knowledge of MEP systems, construction methods, and building systems relevant to technical or laboratory environments
- Strong proficiency in project planning, budget management, and contract administration
- Clear communicator with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams
Bonus Points For
- Background in biotech, pharma, or R&D facility environments
- Familiarity with permitting processes and regulatory requirements for life sciences or research facilities

Which biotech and pharma companies sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas in Massachusetts?
Several major employers in the Massachusetts biotech corridor have filed Labor Condition Applications for specialty occupation roles, including Biogen, Moderna, Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Takeda, and Sanofi Genzyme. Contract research organizations and medical device companies in the Route 128 and I-495 corridors also participate. Sponsorship patterns vary by company size, hiring cycle, and the specific role's degree requirements, so reviewing each employer's LCA filing history provides the most reliable picture.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most biotech and pharma H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Cambridge leads the state with one of the highest concentrations of biotech and pharma employers globally, particularly in Kendall Square. Waltham, Lexington, and Watertown are also significant hiring centers for mid-size and large pharma firms. Boston's Seaport District has seen growing life sciences activity as well. Springfield and Worcester have smaller but active pharma manufacturing and research presences worth considering for candidates open to locations outside Greater Boston.
What types of biotech and pharma roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
Roles that generally qualify are those requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field, such as biostatistics, medicinal chemistry, molecular biology, regulatory affairs, clinical research, bioinformatics, and process engineering. Quality assurance and pharmacovigilance positions held by candidates with relevant science or pharmacy degrees also commonly meet the specialty occupation standard. General technician or production associate roles without a specific degree requirement typically do not qualify for the H-1B1 visa Singapore category.
How do I find biotech and pharma H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa type and state, so you can search for biotech and pharma roles in Massachusetts where employers have H-1B1 Singapore LCA filing history. This saves significant time compared to manually screening postings that may not disclose sponsorship. Focusing your search on Cambridge, Waltham, and Boston and filtering for roles in drug development, regulatory affairs, and bioinformatics tends to return the strongest match volume for Singaporean candidates.
Are there any Massachusetts-specific or industry-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in biotech and pharma?
Massachusetts does not impose additional state-level work authorization requirements beyond federal standards, but employers in regulated biotech and pharma settings may require security or background checks that involve confirming valid work authorization status. Because the H-1B1 Singapore is a treaty-based nonimmigrant visa with a distinct cap separate from the H-1B, not all Massachusetts employers are familiar with its filing requirements, so confirming an employer's experience with this visa category before accepting an offer is advisable.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore biotech & pharma jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
