Which companies sponsor visas for manager - consulting roles in Massachusetts?
Large consulting firms with a significant Massachusetts presence, including Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG, Accenture, and McKinsey, have consistent H-1B sponsorship histories for manager-level consulting positions. Boutique strategy firms and life sciences consultancies based in Boston and Cambridge also appear regularly in Department of Labor disclosure data as sponsors for this role type.
Which visa types are most common for manager - consulting roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for consulting managers in Massachusetts, as these roles typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as business, finance, or a technical discipline. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, and Canadian or Mexican nationals may be eligible for the TN visa under the USMCA, depending on their specific role and qualifications.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most manager - consulting sponsorship jobs?
Boston accounts for the large majority of consulting manager sponsorship activity in Massachusetts, driven by its dense cluster of professional services firms, financial institutions, and life sciences companies. Cambridge, Waltham, and Framingham also see meaningful sponsorship activity, particularly from technology and healthcare-adjacent consulting practices that have established offices in those submarkets.
How to find manager - consulting visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, making it straightforward to identify manager-level consulting openings in Massachusetts where employers have indicated sponsorship availability. Searching by role and state on Migrate Mate surfaces positions from firms with active sponsorship histories, saving time compared to manually reviewing individual company career pages or Department of Labor disclosure records.
Are there state-specific considerations for consulting managers pursuing visa sponsorship in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts employers filing H-1B Labor Condition Applications must pay the prevailing wage for the specific role and location, which is determined by Department of Labor data for the Boston-Cambridge metropolitan area. The state's high concentration of management consulting activity in regulated industries, including healthcare and financial services, means employers are generally experienced with the sponsorship process, though approval timelines and requirements still vary by petition.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored manager - consulting jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
