Which companies sponsor visas for manager - consulting roles in South Carolina?
Large professional services firms with South Carolina operations are the primary sponsors for manager-level consulting roles. Deloitte, Accenture, KPMG, and Booz Allen Hamilton have all filed H-1B petitions for consulting managers in the state. Smaller regional consulting firms and management consulting practices embedded in manufacturing or healthcare companies in Greenville and Columbia also sponsor periodically, though less frequently than national firms.
Which visa types are most common for manager - consulting roles in South Carolina?
The H-1B is the most common visa for manager-level consulting positions in South Carolina, as these roles typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in business, management, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. L-1A visas apply when candidates transfer within a multinational firm into a managerial consulting role at a South Carolina office. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management consulting capacities.
Which cities in South Carolina have the most manager - consulting sponsorship jobs?
Columbia, as the state capital, hosts the highest concentration of consulting activity due to government advisory contracts and healthcare consulting tied to state agencies and MUSC. Greenville is a secondary hub driven by manufacturing and supply chain consulting linked to BMW, Michelin, and GE's regional operations. Charleston has seen growth in technology and logistics consulting, making it an emerging market for sponsored consulting manager roles.
How to find manager - consulting visa sponsorship jobs in South Carolina?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to find manager-level consulting roles in South Carolina without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by state and role type to surface relevant openings from firms actively hiring international candidates. This is especially useful for consulting manager roles, where sponsorship eligibility varies significantly by firm size and contract type.
Are there any state-specific considerations for consulting manager roles and visa sponsorship in South Carolina?
South Carolina's consulting market is heavily tied to federal contract work, manufacturing sector advisory, and healthcare consulting. Employers holding federal contracts must comply with additional compliance obligations, which can affect sponsorship timelines and processes. The state also benefits from proximity to Charlotte, NC, meaning some consulting managers are hired into regional roles that span both states. Prevailing wage determinations for consulting manager positions are set at the federal level using DOL wage data for the specific metropolitan area.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored manager - consulting jobs in South Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
