Which companies sponsor visas for product managers in Massachusetts?
Several large employers in Massachusetts have established track records of sponsoring product managers. These include HubSpot, Wayfair, Fidelity Investments, Biogen, MathWorks, and Rapid7, among others. Boston-area tech and life sciences companies in particular hire internationally at the PM level with some regularity, though sponsorship decisions are always role- and candidate-specific and are never guaranteed.
Which visa types are most common for product manager roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for product managers in Massachusetts, as PM roles typically qualify as specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or business. Some candidates also come through the L-1B or O-1 visa pathways depending on their background. Australian citizens may be eligible for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most product manager sponsorship jobs?
Boston and Cambridge account for the majority of sponsored product manager roles in Massachusetts, anchored by the Seaport District, Kendall Square, and the Back Bay tech corridor. Waltham and Burlington along the Route 128 belt are also active hiring markets, particularly for enterprise software and life sciences PMs. Worcester and Lowell have smaller but growing tech employer bases.
How to find product manager visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter product manager roles by state to see Massachusetts positions from employers that have actively sponsored international workers. Because sponsorship willingness varies significantly by company and role, using a platform that surfaces verified sponsorship history saves considerable time compared to applying broadly and hoping for the best.
Are there any Massachusetts-specific factors product managers should know about for visa sponsorship?
Massachusetts employers must pay H-1B workers at or above the prevailing wage for the role and location, which is determined by Department of Labor guidelines for the greater Boston area and reflects a high-cost metropolitan market. The state's strong university pipeline, including MIT, Harvard, and Northeastern, also means employers in the area are relatively familiar with international hiring and F-1 OPT-to-H-1B transitions for PM candidates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product manager jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
