Which companies sponsor visas for RN home health roles in Massachusetts?
Established home health agencies with sponsorship track records in Massachusetts include Visiting Nurse Association of Boston, Baystate Home Care, Tufts Medicine at Home, and VNA Care. Large hospital systems that operate home health divisions, such as Mass General Brigham Home Care and Beth Israel Deaconess at Home, have also filed LCAs for registered nursing roles. Staffing firms placing home health RNs in Massachusetts sometimes offer sponsorship as well.
Which visa types are most common for RN home health roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most commonly filed visa for RN home health positions when employers treat the role as a specialty occupation requiring a BSN. The EB-3 immigrant visa is widely used for internationally trained nurses pursuing permanent residence, often paired with Schedule A designation, which allows employers to skip the PERM labor market test. Some agencies also use the TN visa for Canadian and Mexican RNs.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most RN home health sponsorship jobs?
Greater Boston, including Cambridge, Quincy, and Newton, has the highest concentration of home health agencies and sponsoring employers in the state. Worcester is a secondary hub, supported by UMass Memorial's home care division. Springfield and the Pioneer Valley see demand tied to Baystate Health. Smaller coastal markets like Cape Cod and the North Shore post openings seasonally but less consistently for sponsored positions.
How to find rn home health visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for internationally trained nurses and other foreign nationals searching for visa sponsorship roles. You can filter by state and job category to surface Massachusetts RN home health openings from employers that have a documented sponsorship history. Because Migrate Mate focuses exclusively on visa sponsorship positions, results are more targeted than general job searches, saving you time screening out employers that don't sponsor.
Are there state-specific considerations for RN home health visa sponsorship in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts requires RNs to hold an active Board of Registration in Nursing license before beginning practice. Internationally trained nurses typically need a credentials evaluation through an approved body such as CGFNS before the state board will process their application. Massachusetts also participates in the Nurse Licensure Compact as of 2024, which affects multistate license portability. Home health agencies in the state must also comply with MassHealth billing rules, which can influence how quickly open roles are filled.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored rn home health jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
