Which companies sponsor visas for RN home health roles in North Carolina?
Bayada Home Health Care, Amedisys, LHC Group, and AccentCare are among the home health employers that have filed for nurse sponsorship in North Carolina. Larger regional hospital systems with home health divisions, such as Atrium Health and WakeMed, have also sponsored international RNs. Sponsorship availability varies by location and staffing need, so confirming directly with each employer is necessary.
Which visa types are most common for RN home health roles in North Carolina?
The EB-3 immigrant visa is the most common pathway for internationally trained RNs, typically paired with PERM labor certification. H-1B visas are less frequently used for nursing because most RN positions are classified under the Schedule A shortage occupation list, which streamlines EB-3 processing. Some employers also use the TN visa for Canadian and Mexican RNs who meet NCLEX and licensure requirements.
Which cities in North Carolina have the most RN home health sponsorship jobs?
Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham generate the highest volume of RN home health postings, reflecting their large and fast-growing populations. Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and Fayetteville also show consistent demand. Rural counties across the Piedmont and eastern regions often have the most acute staffing shortages, which can make employers in those areas more open to sponsoring international RNs willing to work outside major metros.
How to find rn home health visa sponsorship jobs in North Carolina?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international nurses and other foreign-trained professionals searching for visa sponsorship jobs in the U.S. You can filter by role and state to view RN home health positions in North Carolina from employers with a documented history of sponsorship. This saves significant time compared to manually reviewing postings that rarely disclose sponsorship intent upfront.
Are there any state-specific considerations for international RNs pursuing home health roles in North Carolina?
North Carolina requires international RNs to pass the NCLEX-RN and hold an active North Carolina Board of Nursing license before beginning practice. Credential evaluation through a NCSBN-accepted body is required for nurses trained outside the U.S. North Carolina is not a Nurse Licensure Compact state, so a separate state license is mandatory. Employers sponsoring EB-3 petitions will generally not begin the immigration process until licensure is confirmed.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored rn home health jobs in North Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
