Which companies sponsor visas for sales account executives in Massachusetts?
Technology and life sciences companies headquartered or with large offices in Massachusetts are among the most active sponsors for sales account executive roles. Employers such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Oracle, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and Akamai Technologies have disclosed H-1B visa sponsorships for sales positions through Department of Labor filings. Larger enterprise software and SaaS companies with Boston-area offices tend to have established immigration programs and dedicated HR resources to support the process.
Which visa types are most common for sales account executive roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most common visa category used for sales account executive roles in Massachusetts, though the position must qualify as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as business, marketing, or a technical discipline. Some candidates already in the U.S. on F-1 OPT or STEM OPT use that period to secure an employer sponsor before H-1B filing. The L-1B visa is another pathway for candidates transferring from a foreign affiliate of a U.S. employer.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most sales account executive sponsorship jobs?
Boston and Cambridge account for the largest share of sales account executive sponsorship activity in Massachusetts, driven by dense concentrations of enterprise technology, biotech, and financial services firms. Waltham and Burlington along Route 128 also host significant numbers of SaaS and technology company offices with active sales hiring. Worcester has a smaller but growing presence, particularly among health technology and insurance sector employers expanding outside the Greater Boston core.
How to find sales account executive visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters sales account executive roles in Massachusetts by visa sponsorship availability, so you are not sifting through postings from employers who do not sponsor. Searching by role and state on Migrate Mate surfaces companies with documented sponsorship history in this category. Given that Boston's technology and life sciences sectors drive most of this hiring, filtering by those industries within Massachusetts will return the most relevant results.
Are there any Massachusetts-specific considerations for sales account executive visa sponsorship?
Massachusetts employers sponsoring H-1B workers for sales account executive roles must pay the Department of Labor prevailing wage for the position and work location, which is determined by the specific metro area within the state. Boston and Cambridge generally carry higher prevailing wage determinations than other parts of Massachusetts. The state's concentration of research universities, including MIT and Boston University, creates a pipeline of international graduates who often pursue sales careers at local technology and life sciences companies after completing OPT.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored sales account executive jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
