Which companies sponsor visas for sales account executives in Michigan?
Enterprise technology firms with Michigan operations, including SAP, Oracle, and Salesforce, have filed H-1B visa Labor Condition Applications for sales account executive roles in the state. Automotive-adjacent software companies and healthcare IT firms headquartered in Detroit and Ann Arbor also appear in DOL disclosure data as sponsors. Staffing and consulting firms with Michigan offices occasionally sponsor these roles as well.
Which visa types are most common for sales account executive roles in Michigan?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for sales account executive roles, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, marketing, or a related discipline. Canadians and Mexicans may qualify for the TN visa under the NAFTA/USMCA professional categories. Australians holding an E-3 visa are another group that pursues these roles with employer sponsorship.
Which cities in Michigan have the most sales account executive sponsorship jobs?
Detroit and its metro suburbs, including Troy, Southfield, and Dearborn, generate the highest concentration of sponsored sales account executive positions in Michigan, driven by automotive and technology sector demand. Grand Rapids is a secondary hub, particularly in healthcare and manufacturing-related sales. Ann Arbor, home to a strong university-affiliated tech ecosystem, also produces a meaningful share of sponsorship-eligible openings.
How to find sales account executive visa sponsorship jobs in Michigan?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, making it practical to search for sales account executive roles in Michigan without sifting through positions that don't sponsor. The platform surfaces roles from employers who have a documented history of filing sponsorship petitions, which is especially useful for identifying Michigan-based technology and automotive-sector companies that regularly hire internationally.
Are there state-specific considerations for sales account executives pursuing visa sponsorship in Michigan?
Michigan's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B positions are determined by the Department of Labor using Detroit-Warren-Dearborn or Grand Rapids metropolitan area wage data, depending on where the role is based. Sales account executive roles tied to automotive technology tend to command different wage benchmarks than those in healthcare IT or general software sales. University of Michigan and Michigan State University graduates are a common pipeline for employers already familiar with sponsoring international candidates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored sales account executive jobs in Michigan?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
