Which companies sponsor visas for senior project managers in Massachusetts?
Large Massachusetts employers with documented H-1B sponsorship histories for project management roles include Raytheon Technologies, Biogen, Moderna, MathWorks, Liberty Mutual, and Massachusetts General Hospital. Defense, life sciences, and enterprise software companies tend to have established immigration programs and in-house counsel that make sponsorship more accessible for senior-level candidates than smaller firms.
Which visa types are most common for senior project management roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most common visa for senior project managers in Massachusetts, typically supported by a bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering, computer science, or business combined with demonstrated specialization. Candidates already holding L-1A or L-1B status through multinational employers also pursue these roles. O-1A petitions are possible but require substantial evidence of extraordinary achievement in the field.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most senior project management sponsorship jobs?
Greater Boston and Cambridge account for the largest concentration of sponsored senior project management roles, driven by the biotech corridor, academic medical centers, and financial services firms. Worcester has a growing presence in defense and manufacturing project management. The Route 128 technology belt connecting Waltham, Burlington, and Lexington also hosts significant demand, particularly from enterprise software and defense contractors.
How to find senior project management visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search senior project management roles in Massachusetts without sifting through positions that won't support your visa. Focus on life sciences, defense, and enterprise technology employers, as these sectors in Massachusetts have the most established sponsorship programs. Migrate Mate surfaces current openings from verified sponsoring employers in the state.
Are there state-specific considerations for senior project managers pursuing visa sponsorship in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts is a high cost-of-living state, and the Department of Labor's prevailing wage determinations for senior project management roles reflect that. Employers must certify on the Labor Condition Application that they will pay at least the prevailing wage for the occupational classification and geographic area. The concentration of PMP-certified and technically specialized candidates in the Boston market means employers generally expect advanced credentials alongside strong industry-specific experience.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored senior project management jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
