Which companies sponsor visas for sales account executives in Minnesota?
Minnesota's largest H-1B sponsors in sales-adjacent roles include UnitedHealth Group, Optum, Cargill, and Medtronic, all headquartered in the Twin Cities metro. Enterprise software and SaaS firms with Minnesota offices, including those in the growing health tech sector, have also filed LCAs for account executive positions. Sponsorship patterns vary by company size and hiring volume, so reviewing DOL disclosure data is the most reliable way to identify active sponsors.
Which visa types are most common for sales account executive roles in Minnesota?
The H-1B is the most commonly used visa for sales account executives in Minnesota, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, marketing, or a related discipline. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business categories. The O-1A is available for candidates with demonstrated extraordinary achievement, though it is less common in standard sales roles.
Which cities in Minnesota have the most sales account executive sponsorship jobs?
Minneapolis and Saint Paul together account for the vast majority of visa-sponsored sales account executive roles in Minnesota. The western suburbs, particularly Plymouth, Eden Prairie, and Minnetonka, host corporate headquarters for several large employers in medical devices and financial services. Smaller markets like Rochester see some demand tied to the Mayo Clinic ecosystem, but the Twin Cities metro remains the primary concentration of sponsoring employers.
How to find sales account executive visa sponsorship jobs in Minnesota?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters sales account executive roles by sponsorship history, making it easier to identify Minnesota employers who have actively sponsored visas for similar positions. Rather than sorting through general postings, you can focus on companies with a verified track record of H-1B or other work visa filings for sales roles in the Twin Cities and broader Minnesota market.
Are there state-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for sales account executives in Minnesota?
Minnesota's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters means many employers have established immigration support programs and in-house or retained immigration counsel, which can make the sponsorship process more structured than at smaller firms. The state's strong presence in healthcare technology and medical devices also means account executive roles frequently require industry-specific knowledge, which can strengthen the specialty occupation argument for H-1B eligibility when the role demands a degree in a relevant technical or business field.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored sales account executive jobs in Minnesota?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
