Which companies sponsor visas for strategy consultants in Minnesota?
Several large employers headquartered in Minnesota have a documented history of sponsoring work visas for strategy consultants. UnitedHealth Group, Target, Cargill, General Mills, and Medtronic all appear in Department of Labor LCA disclosure data with filings for strategy and management consulting roles. Regional offices of national consulting firms such as McKinsey, Deloitte, and Boston Consulting Group also operate in Minneapolis and file sponsorships for consulting staff.
Which visa types are most common for strategy consultant roles in Minnesota?

Candidates from Australia may pursue the E-3 visa, Canadians and Mexicans may qualify under TN visa status using the 'Management Consultant' USMCA category, and those with extraordinary ability may explore the O-1 visa.
How to find strategy consultant visa sponsorship jobs in Minnesota?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse strategy consultant openings in Minnesota without sifting through roles that won't support international candidates. You can search by role type and state to surface positions at Twin Cities employers and consulting firms that have active sponsorship programs, saving significant time during a job search.
Which cities in Minnesota have the most strategy consultant sponsorship jobs?
The vast majority of strategy consultant visa sponsorship activity in Minnesota is concentrated in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area, where the highest density of Fortune 500 headquarters and major consulting firm offices are located. Are there any Minnesota-specific considerations for strategy consultants seeking visa sponsorship?
Minnesota's concentration of healthcare, retail, and agribusiness companies shapes the types of strategy consulting work most commonly sponsored in the state. Candidates with industry expertise in healthcare operations, consumer goods, or supply chain strategy tend to align well with the local employer base. The University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management produces a pipeline of international graduates who often pursue sponsored roles locally, so competition for Twin Cities positions can be meaningful.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy consultant jobs in Minnesota?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
