Overview:
Working as Full-time Supply Chain Analyst, you will be a strategic link between the Supply Chain Department and the rest of the company by impacting how Fastenal manages product flow both domestically and internationally. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.
Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Managing forecasts and inventory plans
- Collaborating with product development, operations, and sales on product supply and placement
- Reviewing and analyzing sales trends within regions to determine stocking locations
- Analyzing data and communicating the results clearly
- Analyzing and deriving meaningful summaries from large data sets
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
- 18 years of age or older
- Prior administrative, customer service, or clerical experience OR industry experience and product knowledge
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
- Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
- Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Work independently as well as in a team environment
- Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
- Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess or are working towards a degree in one of the following areas: Math, Statistics, Data Science, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance or a related Business field
