Examples of Duties
- Perform hands-on fixes, including installing/upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems.
- Perform hands-on fixes (via remote access), including installing/upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of computers, laptops, printers and peripherals.
- Set up new user domain accounts, image and configure new computers and laptops.
- Support users in the use of computer equipment by providing necessary training.
Typical Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Technology or a related field preferred.
- 2 years’ equivalent work experience in IT Support preferred.
- Knowledge of computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, wireless access points, networking equipment.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-volume/high pressure environment.
- Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 7 and above; Windows Server 2008 & above).
- Knowledge of Apple Products (iPhone, iPad, iMac, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air).
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening and question skills.
- Strong writing and documentation skills, proven analytical problem-solving abilities.
Minimum Required Licenses and/or Certifications:
- CompTIA A+ Certification required.
- MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) Certification preferred.
- Network+ Certification preferred.
- Security+ Certification preferred.
