Which companies sponsor visas for cloud architects in Missouri?
Several large Missouri employers have documented H-1B sponsorship histories for cloud architecture roles. Centene Corporation and Cerner (now part of Oracle Health) in the St. Louis and Kansas City areas regularly file for cloud and infrastructure positions. Boeing's St. Louis operations, Edward Jones, and Mastercard's regional offices also appear in federal LCA disclosure data for related specialty occupation filings.
Which visa types are most common for cloud architect roles in Missouri?
The H-1B is the most commonly used visa category for cloud architects in Missouri, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Some employers also use the L-1A or L-1B for internal transfers, and candidates with extraordinary ability may pursue the O-1A, though that pathway is less common for cloud roles.
How to find cloud architect visa sponsorship jobs in Missouri?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search for cloud architect roles in Missouri without manually screening out employers who don't sponsor. The platform surfaces positions from companies with active sponsorship histories in the state, covering both St. Louis and Kansas City markets as well as smaller Missouri employers in health tech and financial services.
Which cities in Missouri have the most cloud architect sponsorship jobs?
St. Louis and Kansas City account for the vast majority of cloud architect sponsorship activity in Missouri. St. Louis draws on healthcare IT anchors like Centene and Oracle Health, plus financial firms such as Edward Jones. Kansas City has a growing technology and financial services presence. Columbia, home to the University of Missouri health system and related tech vendors, sees smaller but notable hiring activity.
Are there state-specific factors that affect cloud architect visa sponsorship in Missouri?
Missouri does not impose state-level licensing requirements specific to cloud architects, so the sponsorship process follows standard federal H-1B procedures. The state's concentration in healthcare IT and financial services means many cloud architect roles involve regulated data environments, which can raise the technical complexity employers document in LCA filings. Missouri public universities also produce engineering and computer science graduates who feed into local employer pipelines, increasing competition for sponsored roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cloud architect jobs in Missouri?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
