Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Support the preparation of U.S. federal income tax return Form 1120 for a consolidated group.
• Analyze book-to-tax differences and support reconciliations.
• Calculate and process quarterly estimated tax payments and annual extensions.
• Assist with preparation of US income tax provisions consistent with IAS 12.
• Perform tax account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of tax balances in the general ledger.
• Work with external auditors to support tax provision review.
• Support federal tax audits and information requests.
• Complete special projects and other compliance tasks.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors on tax matters.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience in a corporate tax department or a CPA firm.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Collaborative and team-oriented.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with OneSource tax software.
• Advanced degree in finance-related field.
• CPA certification or progress towards certification.
• Familiarity with ERP consolidation systems such as BPC or HFM.

Tools and Equipment Used:

• Personal Computer.
• Office Equipment – Multi-function printers.

Relationship:

The Federal Tax Accountant will report to the Federal Tax Manager.
