Which companies in Montana sponsor visas for data analysts?
Healthcare organizations are among the most active sponsors in Montana, including Billings Clinic and RiverStone Health, which regularly hire analysts to manage clinical and operational data. State government agencies and the University of Montana system also sponsor for analytical roles. Larger regional employers in insurance and financial services, such as those headquartered in Billings, have H-1B filing histories worth reviewing through public DOL disclosure data.
Which visa types are most common for data analyst roles in Montana?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for data analyst positions in Montana, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as statistics, computer science, or information systems. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT authorization can begin work while their employer files an H-1B petition. The O-1A is an option for analysts with exceptional credentials, though it applies to a narrower pool of applicants.
How to find data analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Montana?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters data analyst roles in Montana by visa sponsorship willingness, saving you from sifting through postings where sponsorship is never offered. You can search by city, filter to Montana employers with H-1B filing histories, and focus your applications on companies that have sponsored similar roles before. This is especially useful in a smaller market like Montana, where sponsoring employers are fewer but identifiable.
Which cities in Montana have the most data analyst sponsorship jobs?
Billings is Montana's largest city and the strongest market for data analyst roles, anchored by its healthcare, energy, and financial services sectors. Missoula follows, driven by the University of Montana and a growing small-business tech community. Helena, as the state capital, offers opportunities within state government and public health agencies. Great Falls has a more limited market but occasionally sees postings from regional healthcare and utility employers.
Are there any Montana-specific considerations for data analyst visa sponsorship?
Montana's labor market is smaller than coastal states, so the number of employers actively sponsoring visas is more limited. Prevailing wage requirements still apply, and employers must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL confirming the offered wage meets the applicable wage level for the Billings or Missoula metropolitan areas, depending on the job location. Candidates connected to Montana universities through OPT programs often have an advantage, as those institutions have established sponsorship processes for analytical and research staff.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data analyst jobs in Montana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
