Which companies sponsor visas for radiologic technologists in Montana?
The primary sponsors are Montana's largest hospital networks: Billings Clinic, Intermountain Health (formerly SCL Health), and Providence St. Patrick Hospital. Critical Access Hospitals in rural areas like Kalispell Regional Healthcare also occasionally sponsor when recruiting pipelines run dry. Sponsorship is more common at larger multi-site health systems that have established immigration compliance programs and HR infrastructure to manage the process.
Which visa types are most common for radiologic technologist roles in Montana?
The H-1B visa is the most common pathway for radiologic technologists, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or a related field. Some employers also use the EB-3 immigrant visa category for permanent sponsorship. Candidates who hold ARRT certification and a qualifying degree are generally well-positioned for H-1B petitions, though each employer's willingness to sponsor varies.
Which cities in Montana have the most radiologic technologist sponsorship jobs?
Billings is Montana's largest city and has the highest concentration of radiologic technologist roles, anchored by Billings Clinic and St. Vincent Healthcare. Missoula and Great Falls are the next most active markets, supported by Providence St. Patrick Hospital and Benefis Health System respectively. Bozeman is a growing market as its population expands rapidly. Rural areas have open positions but sponsorship infrastructure is less consistent outside these four cities.
How to find radiologic technologist visa sponsorship jobs in Montana?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find radiologic technologist visa sponsorship jobs in Montana, with listings filtered specifically for roles where employers are open to sponsoring work visas. Rather than sorting through general job boards, Migrate Mate surfaces relevant opportunities at Montana health systems so you can focus on employers who have already demonstrated willingness to sponsor international candidates in imaging and radiology roles.
Are there state-specific considerations for radiologic technologists seeking visa sponsorship in Montana?
Montana requires radiologic technologists to be licensed through the Montana Board of Radiologic Technologists, so international candidates must factor in licensure timelines alongside their visa process. ARRT certification is a standard prerequisite for licensure. Montana's relatively small labor market means prevailing wage determinations are based on regional data that can differ meaningfully from national figures. Employers in rural or underserved areas may qualify for certain federal workforce programs, though sponsorship decisions remain employer-specific.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored radiologic technologist jobs in Montana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
