Which companies in Nebraska sponsor visas for technical product managers?
Omaha-based employers are the most active sponsors for technical product manager roles in Nebraska. Companies like Union Pacific, Mutual of Omaha, PayPal, TD Ameritrade (now part of Charles Schwab), and First Data have sponsored H-1B workers in product and technology roles. Nebraska's financial services, insurance, and logistics sectors drive the majority of sponsorship activity for TPM positions.
Which visa types are most common for technical product manager roles in Nebraska?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for technical product managers in Nebraska, given the role's specialty occupation classification requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. Candidates already in the U.S. on F-1 OPT or STEM OPT extension often transition through employer-sponsored H-1B petitions. L-1B intracompany transfer visas are also used when candidates move within multinational companies with Nebraska operations.
Which cities in Nebraska have the most technical product manager sponsorship jobs?
Omaha accounts for the large majority of technical product manager sponsorship opportunities in Nebraska, driven by its concentration of financial services, insurance, and technology employers. Lincoln has a smaller but growing tech hiring base, partly supported by talent from the University of Nebraska. Outside these two cities, TPM sponsorship roles in Nebraska are uncommon.
How to find technical product manager visa sponsorship jobs in Nebraska?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters technical product manager roles in Nebraska by visa sponsorship status, so you're not sifting through listings that won't support your work authorization. Because Nebraska's TPM market is concentrated in Omaha's financial and logistics sectors, setting up focused alerts on Migrate Mate for those industries improves the relevance of what you see.
Are there state-specific considerations for technical product managers pursuing sponsorship in Nebraska?
Nebraska's TPM market skews toward financial services, insurance, and supply chain technology rather than pure software or consumer tech, so candidates with domain experience in those industries are better positioned. The University of Nebraska system produces local tech talent, but employer demand for senior TPM experience often exceeds local supply, which supports the case for international hiring. Nebraska does not have state-level work visa programs; sponsorship is entirely employer-driven under federal categories.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical product manager jobs in Nebraska?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
