Our professionals have one goal in mind when working with clients — to help them minimize their tax liability while remaining compliant with ever-changing tax laws. In addition to consulting and compliance tax services, our team provides international tax guidance, stock option planning, and strategic consultation related to investments, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, and liquidations. We regularly advise companies entering the U.S. market, scaling operations, or preparing for institutional investment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and review complex corporate tax returns, including consolidated filings, multi-state entities, and foreign-owned U.S. subsidiaries.
- Advise foreign inbound clients on U.S. tax compliance, reporting obligations, and structural considerations related to operating in the United States.
- Serve middle-market companies (typically growth-oriented businesses with expanding operational and ownership structures) by identifying tax efficiencies and risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide tax planning and advisory services to seed-stage and early-stage companies, including guidance on entity structuring, equity compensation, investor considerations, and scaling operations.
- Understand clients’ business models, identify and analyze tax issues, and clearly articulate technical conclusions and planning recommendations.
- Lead tax engagements from start to finish, including planning, budgeting, fee monitoring, execution, and delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships by providing proactive insights aligned with their growth and expansion strategies.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of client tax returns and compliance with federal, state, and international reporting requirements.
- Review work performed by team members and provide mentorship and constructive feedback to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Stay current on federal, state, local, and international tax developments impacting inbound and growth-stage businesses.

- Active CPA license required.
- 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience, with a focus on Corporate Tax.
- Demonstrated experience working with:
- Foreign inbound entities and international tax considerations.
- Middle-market corporate clients.
- Seed or early-stage companies, venture-backed businesses, or investor-focused structures.
- Experience advising on M&A structuring, tax due diligence, and ASC 740 compliance preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and international tax regulations affecting foreign-owned and multi-state entities.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., CCH Axcess) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven expertise in overseeing complex client engagements and delivering high-quality client service.
- Experience developing strategic tax planning solutions aligned with business growth.
- Experience supervising, training, developing, and reviewing the work of staff and senior associates.

Which companies sponsor visas for corporate accountants in Nevada?
Gaming and hospitality corporations are among the most active sponsors, including MGM Resorts International, Caesars Entertainment, and Wynn Resorts, all headquartered in Las Vegas. Mining companies like Barrick Gold and Nevada Gold Mines also hire corporate accountants with visa sponsorship. Larger regional banks and technology firms operating out of Reno's growing business corridor have also filed sponsorship petitions for accounting roles.
Which visa types are most common for corporate accountant roles in Nevada?
The H-1B visa is the primary visa category for corporate accountants in Nevada, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may pursue the TN visa under the USMCA, which lists accountants as an eligible profession and does not require going through the H-1B lottery.
Which cities in Nevada have the most corporate accountant sponsorship jobs?
Las Vegas accounts for the majority of corporate accountant sponsorship activity in Nevada, driven by the concentration of large gaming, hospitality, and entertainment employers. Reno is the secondary hub, with growing demand from technology companies, logistics firms, and financial services operations that have relocated there in recent years. Carson City, as the state capital, offers some opportunities within government-adjacent financial roles.
How to find corporate accountant visa sponsorship jobs in Nevada?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify Nevada employers actively hiring corporate accountants on H-1B or TN visas. Rather than sifting through general job boards, you can search by role and state to surface positions where sponsorship is already confirmed. Targeting large gaming and mining corporations in Las Vegas and Reno tends to yield the strongest results for this role.
Are there state-specific considerations for corporate accountants seeking sponsorship in Nevada?
Nevada has no state income tax, which affects compensation structures that employers use when setting prevailing wage-compliant salaries for H-1B petitions. Employers must still meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements based on the Las Vegas or Reno metropolitan statistical areas. Nevada does not have a CPA reciprocity barrier for internationally educated accountants, but foreign credentials typically require evaluation before licensure through the Nevada State Board of Accountancy.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored corporate accountant jobs in Nevada?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
