Which companies sponsor visas for care assistants in New Hampshire?
The largest sponsors in New Hampshire include Dartmouth Health, Concord Hospital, Catholic Medical Center, and home health agencies such as Granite VNA and Visiting Nurse Association of Manchester. Long-term care operators and assisted living networks have also filed sponsorship petitions, particularly for roles in rural areas where local hiring pipelines are thinner. Sponsorship activity varies by employer size and staffing needs.
Which visa types are most common for care assistant roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is less common for care assistants because the role typically does not require a specialty-degree occupation. Most internationally hired care assistants in New Hampshire arrive through the EB-3 immigrant visa, which covers unskilled and semi-skilled workers, or through TN status for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying healthcare classifications. Some employers also use H-2B for temporary non-agricultural positions where applicable.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most care assistant sponsorship jobs?
Manchester and Nashua, as New Hampshire's two largest cities, generate the highest volume of care assistant job postings. Concord, the state capital, adds meaningful activity through its hospital and state-run facilities. Lebanon in the Upper Valley is notable because of Dartmouth Health's presence. Rural counties like Coos and Carroll also see demand, though postings are less frequent and tend to appear through regional home health agencies.
How to find care assistant visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse care assistant roles in New Hampshire without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can narrow results by location to focus on cities like Manchester, Concord, or Lebanon. Because sponsorship openings in this field move quickly, checking Migrate Mate regularly gives you the best chance of catching new postings from healthcare systems and home health agencies.
Are there any state-specific considerations for care assistant visa sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire has no state income tax on wages, which affects net compensation comparisons when evaluating offers. The state's aging population, one of the oldest demographics in the country, drives sustained long-term care demand. Care assistants working in licensed facilities must meet New Hampshire's certified nursing assistant requirements, and employers sponsoring through EB-3 must complete PERM labor certification with the Department of Labor before filing an immigrant petition.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored care assistant jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
