Which companies sponsor visas for cloud software engineers in New Hampshire?
Companies with a track record of sponsoring cloud software engineers in New Hampshire include BAE Systems, Fidelity Investments, Oracle, Insight Direct, and Dell Technologies, which all maintain significant technology operations in the state. Defense contractors in the Manchester and Nashua areas are particularly active sponsors, as are financial services firms that rely heavily on cloud infrastructure teams.
Which visa types are most common for cloud software engineer roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the most common visa for cloud software engineers in New Hampshire, as the role consistently qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. Applicants already in the U.S. on F-1 OPT or STEM OPT also frequently transition into H-1B status through New Hampshire employers. The O-1A is an option for engineers with demonstrated exceptional ability.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most cloud software engineer sponsorship jobs?
Manchester and Nashua account for the majority of cloud software engineer sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire. Nashua in particular hosts several large technology and defense employers along the Route 3 corridor. Bedford and Merrimack also have notable concentrations of technology employers. Portsmouth has a smaller but active tech presence, particularly in cybersecurity and cloud services firms.
How to find cloud software engineer visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to find cloud software engineer roles in New Hampshire without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by state and job category to surface relevant openings from New Hampshire employers actively hiring international candidates. This saves significant time compared to manually screening general job listings.
Are there any state-specific considerations for cloud software engineers seeking sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire's proximity to Boston means many employers treat the southern part of the state as part of the greater Boston tech market, which can work in your favor since Boston-area firms sometimes post New Hampshire-based remote or hybrid roles. The state has a notable defense and aerospace technology sector, so candidates with cloud experience in secure or regulated environments may find more sponsorship opportunities than in purely commercial tech markets.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cloud software engineer jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
