A bit about us:
We are a full-service law firm built by attorneys who wanted a more thoughtful and flexible way to practice law. Our work spans a broad range of legal matters, and we approach each engagement with a focus on practical judgment, collaboration, and efficiency. We value clear thinking over rigid process and encourage lawyers to understand the broader context of a client’s goals. Our teams work closely across disciplines, allowing us to adapt as matters evolve. Internally, we operate with a collegial mindset, open communication, and respect for different perspectives, believing that strong relationships and sound judgment lead to better outcomes for both clients and colleagues.
Why join us?
We provide an environment where lawyers can develop meaningful practices without being confined to narrow roles or predetermined paths. Attorneys are trusted with responsibility early, work directly with experienced colleagues, and gain exposure to substantive matters and clients. We value initiative, curiosity, and practical problem-solving, and we support lawyers who want to shape their careers thoughtfully over time. Our culture is professional and grounded, with an emphasis on flexibility, balance, and long-term sustainability. Good ideas are welcomed regardless of seniority, and success is measured by quality of work, collaboration, and personal growth—not by adherence to tradition alone.
JOB DETAILS
We are seeking a litigation associate to join a well-established and growing litigation practice with a strong emphasis on employment-related disputes. This role offers hands-on involvement in all stages of litigation, along with meaningful client interaction and increasing responsibility over time. Associates are trusted with substantive work early and are encouraged to develop sound judgment, strong advocacy skills, and practical problem-solving abilities. While litigation is the primary focus, there is also an opportunity to participate in employment law advice and counseling consistent with experience level.
Responsibilities
- Handle employment-related litigation matters from initial assessment through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other written advocacy materials
- Manage discovery, including document review, case organization, and strategy
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex legal issues
- Assist with hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation
- Work directly with clients and contribute to litigation strategy
- Support employment counseling and compliance matters as appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2–5 years of litigation experience, with employment litigation experience preferred
- Experience drafting pleadings and managing discovery processes
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working collaboratively while taking ownership of assigned matters
REQUIREMENTS
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Active bar admission in at least one New England jurisdiction
- Admission in Maine or New Hampshire required; Massachusetts a plus
- Interest in developing a long-term litigation practice with employment law exposure

Which companies sponsor visas for compliance associates in New Hampshire?
Financial services firms and healthcare organizations are the most active sponsors in New Hampshire. Fidelity Investments, Cigna, and Liberty Mutual have track records of filing H-1B petitions for compliance-related roles in the state. Larger national banks and insurance carriers with New Hampshire operations tend to have dedicated immigration support infrastructure, making them more likely to sponsor than smaller regional firms.
Which visa types are most common for compliance associate roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the most common visa for compliance associates in New Hampshire, particularly for roles requiring a degree in finance, accounting, law, or business. Candidates already authorized under OPT or STEM OPT can work for sponsoring employers during the transition period. The TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying compliance-adjacent categories, though eligibility depends on the specific role.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most compliance associate sponsorship jobs?
Manchester and Nashua account for the majority of compliance associate opportunities in New Hampshire. Manchester, as the state's largest city, hosts financial services offices and healthcare administration centers. Nashua's position on the Massachusetts border attracts employers with dual-state operations, and its proximity to Boston's financial district means some employers actively recruit across both markets for compliance talent.
How to find compliance associate visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters compliance associate jobs in New Hampshire by visa sponsorship status, so you're not sifting through listings that won't support international candidates. Search specifically for roles in Manchester and Nashua, and prioritize postings from financial services, healthcare, and insurance employers, which have the strongest sponsorship history in the state. Setting up alerts for compliance roles helps catch new postings early.
Are there any state-specific considerations for compliance associates seeking sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire has no state income tax, which can affect total compensation comparisons when evaluating offers against roles in neighboring states. For H-1B purposes, employers must pay the prevailing wage for the specific location, and New Hampshire prevailing wages for compliance roles are determined by the Department of Labor's OFLC data for the Manchester-Nashua metropolitan area. Smaller employers in the state may have less experience managing visa sponsorship, so it is worth confirming an employer's prior sponsorship history before applying.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored compliance associate jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
