Search Compliance Associate Jobs in MassachusettsCompliance Associate Jobs in Massachusetts: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for compliance associates in Massachusetts?
Financial services firms are the most active sponsors for compliance associates in Massachusetts. State Street, Fidelity Investments, and Liberty Mutual have histories of sponsoring H-1B visas for compliance roles. In the life sciences sector, Biogen, Takeda, and Boston Scientific also sponsor compliance staff. Consulting firms like Deloitte and PwC, with significant Boston-area presences, similarly file petitions for compliance associates.
Which visa types are most common for compliance associate roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for compliance associates in Massachusetts, particularly at financial institutions and biotech companies that treat compliance as a specialty occupation requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. Some roles qualify under the TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals with appropriate credentials. Compliance associates already on OPT or STEM OPT extension can work while their employer files an H-1B petition.
How to find compliance associate visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify Massachusetts-based compliance associate openings where employers have indicated willingness to sponsor. Rather than sorting through general job postings, you can focus directly on roles at Boston-area financial services, biotech, and insurance firms that have active sponsorship programs for compliance professionals.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most compliance associate sponsorship jobs?
Boston is by far the dominant market, driven by its concentration of asset managers, banks, insurance companies, and life sciences headquarters in the Financial District, Back Bay, and Seaport neighborhoods. Waltham and Cambridge host significant biotech and pharma compliance teams. Worcester has a smaller but growing compliance sector tied to healthcare organizations such as UMass Memorial Health.
Are there any state-specific factors that affect compliance associate visa sponsorship in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts employers must meet DOL prevailing wage requirements for the specific compliance associate role and geographic location when filing H-1B petitions, and Boston's wage levels are among the higher tiers nationally given its cost of living. The state's strong university pipeline, including graduates from Boston University, Northeastern, and Bentley, means employers are accustomed to hiring internationally and navigating OPT-to-H-1B transitions for compliance staff.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored compliance associate jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
