Which companies in Oregon sponsor visas for compliance associates?
Oregon employers with documented H-1B and other work visa sponsorship history in compliance roles include Intel, Nike, Cambia Health Solutions, Umpqua Bank, and Precision Castparts. Portland-area fintech and healthcare organizations have also filed Labor Condition Applications for compliance positions. Sponsorship patterns vary by employer size and hiring year, so reviewing recent LCA disclosure data from the Department of Labor gives the clearest picture.
What visa types are most common for compliance associate roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for compliance associates in Oregon, particularly at large employers like Intel and Nike that regularly file petitions. Compliance roles typically qualify as specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as finance, accounting, law, or business administration. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and L-1 transfers apply when an international company moves an employee into a U.S. compliance role.
Which Oregon cities have the most compliance associate sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the majority of compliance associate sponsorship activity in Oregon, driven by its concentration of financial institutions, healthcare systems, and corporate headquarters. Beaverton and Hillsboro, anchored by Nike and Intel respectively, are the next most active markets. Salem sees compliance hiring tied to state government contractors and regulated industries, though sponsorship is less common there than in the Portland metro area.
How to find compliance associate visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters compliance associate roles in Oregon by visa sponsorship availability, saving you from manually screening employers. You can browse current openings, see which companies have sponsored before, and focus your applications on employers already familiar with the H-1B and other work visa processes. This is especially useful in Oregon, where sponsorship activity is concentrated among a smaller set of larger employers.
Are there any state-specific considerations for compliance associates seeking sponsorship in Oregon?
Oregon does not impose state-level licensing requirements specific to compliance associates the way it does for attorneys or CPAs, which simplifies the credential evaluation process for international candidates. However, roles in Oregon's heavily regulated healthcare and financial sectors may require familiarity with state-specific regulations alongside federal frameworks. Employers in Hillsboro and Beaverton's semiconductor corridor, particularly Intel, tend to have established immigration infrastructure, making the sponsorship process more predictable than at smaller Oregon firms.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored compliance associate jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
